i notice the throttle response is more sensitive then before but by how much I really don't know. I think certain parameters are already built in on all the reflash such as sharpen the throttle response and the TB open 100%. If you don't ask for more throttle sensitivity then Tadashi will only play around with the A/F.

Idn if he showed you other people dyno with and without the intake because this is a hard decision for me. I really like the intake sound but i really want to hit 300 WHP and i wouldn't mind like a coulple hundred bucks in my pocket. Do you know how much exactly i will get to the wheels by switching to the stock intake because if its like 2-4 i think i'll keep but if its closer to 10 then i'll definetly switch back?

i have to dig up the dyno sheets again to be sure but they are in my office. i think between my Stillen short tube and the stock airbox if i remember correctly its approx 10whp difference. i would choose hp over suction noise anytime. the reason I swapped my intakes to stillen was in hope to seek more power and not the suction noise.

PLEASE swap them on the dyno. So we can get another dyno plot on the effect of after market intakes on the HR. Then you will know if you lose or gain WHP.

A.H great numbers! I too am auto so I am excited! Unfortunetely I am on the east coast, so no tuning after the reflash for me. A few Q's:
1. Did you see what the A/F was with just the reflash? I dyno'd on Wed, bone stock w/ new oem filters and was way rich (10.83-11.15 across the board)
2. I quickly skimmed through the thread, sorry if you listed prior, what else is done to your 5AT besides Stillen intakes?
3. Does Tadashi adjust any other parameters other than throttle body response and A/F curve, such as ignition timing and valve timing? I do not hear of anyone on this forum tuning valve timing on the VQs, there was a good bit of power to be had on the Toyotas by fine tuning the vvti.

Again, great number, autos are no slouch!

I think I am definitely going to look into the Nismo exhaust + Y pipe and the reflash. ~300rwhp would be sweet.

This is nice, but I sure do wish there was a place to get a reflash and tune done in New England. I'd be more willing to jump on this if I knew I could get a tune done along with the reflash.

You'd be surprised by the amount of power and throttle response you'll get from the reflash. The difference in power between a reflash and a full tune isn't so great that it should stop you from getting it. Also, you'll end up paying a lot more for the full tune. Just something to think about.

Ok so i decided I will swap cause around 10 more HP to me sounds significant and i kinda am interested in seeing how much the intakes lost. However I can only do this on one condition. I can't find my stock air box, all i have is the control arms. If someone knows where i can get one free or very cheap please let me know.

1. I did but my the dyno sheets I had him print for me dont have that. But from my memory he did make it better from the tune as i was running rich too with just the reflash. I think it was like 11.9-12.3 and he got it to 13.2 so that is a factor to think about.
2. Test Pipes and a dual 3 inch exhaust which he said actaully did gain me power and torque which i thought would not be possible. However he said i would get more power from a 2.5 dual exhaust but he said not by much.
3. I straight up don't know about this but i doubt he does. If you were really curious he could ask him yourself by calling technosquare or if anyone knows the asnwer please chime in.

Thx about the numbers! I too was shocked at what my auto put out and so was tadashi. I need to find a stock air box then im goign back for sharper throttle response and to re-dyno to how much he can get out of the stock intakes over stillens and if i can hit that magic 300 WHP on 91 octance If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

We already get 306 at the shaft stock - this is at the wheels numbers.

let's stop right there and not ruin this thread ... after hearing all the horror stories of not making any power with any of the aftermarket intakes, the technosquare reflash and tune might be able give us VQ35HR owners some hope on making real power thats worth our dollars.

Please don't ruin the thread with useless flaming thrash talk. I'd hate to miss out on the updates by getting this thread locked.

+1. Technosquare needs to hurry, i can't wait any longer. I have the nismo intakes, and I think, correct me if i'm wrong, they were designed on the dyno. If my nismo intakes lose power, i'm going to sue nismo for false advertisement haha. I'm hoping for 300 rwhp, but i guess only time will tell.
