I e-mailed technosquare a couple days ago about this 93 octane thing. No word back yet, but I'm definitely not going to spend all the money on a reflash until they do it for 93.

i agree 100%. i hope they listen to us and work on a new program, i want this real bad! I will be very interested to see the difference between the 91 and 93 programs both on stock and with HFCs and catback.

damn, this will make me wait as well. where in the heck can't you get 93 or 94?

could there be such a big difference between 91 and 93 that the reflash wouldn't do anything?

When i got my tune afer teh reflash i had a pretty good convo with tadashi and he told me that i woudl still benefit from 100 octane when used and before the refalsh 100 woudnl't do anything for me. I then asked if i shoudl tune it to 100 then use 91 everyday but 100 when i want to race and he didn;'t recommend this. Idk what issue you guys are having?

so what i gather is that it won't matter if i got the reflash and used 93 or 94 in terms of having problems or running rich or whatever, there just wouldn't be any added performance by using something over 91. eh?

$150? Hm i wonder what it will really cost after the whole tune/dyno.

After reading the last few pages this has shown to produce some really nice numbers.

I cant wait to see the first 300+ whp all motor HR.

"We maximize and test our program for 91 octane gas since this is the highest minimum octane every one can get. 350Z come with feed back system with knock sensor, so better gas you use you gain more torque and HP. We can't say how much gain can be expected without see how is your car running. From what we have seen, exhaust mods doesn't make much of difference anyway though. What type of intake system you have is more critical on HR motor."

This is the response from technosquare on the 93 octane issue. It doesn't appear there is any plan on doing a 93 octane specific reflash, but you will still see a small amount of gains using the 91 reflash and just putting in 93. I'm still not completely sold on this yet, but we'll see, maybe I'll crack and just get it and be happy.

I believe it is worth it. After putting on intake, exhaust and test pipes, I personally felt the most power gains from this reflash. Not only was there more power but i love teh quicker trottle response and the increased redline.

Thats right. I thought I had posted a dyno sheet, but maybe I didn't. I'll get one up this weekend. Sport Compact Car is going to do a feature on Technosquare and you'll probably see my car in that.

My personal feeling on 93 octane and the Technosqusre reflash is that the difference between 91 and 93 is not great enough to justify a new program. The difference between 91/93 and racing fuel is much higher and the car would show real improvements with the correct reflash.

Are the instructions to remove the ECU the same for 07's as previous models? The only reason I ask is because the instructions mention something about a cupholder but on the 07s there is no cupholder under the dash. Im likely going to send mine out some time next week to get done.

The instructions are close enough that you should have no problems. If a screw or nut listed on the instructions don't exist the you can skip it. Iirc there are no additional screws on the 07s that aren't mentioned in those instructions.

Did you ever get the stock airboxes installed? If you still need help let me know. You live around woodland hills, yeah? I'm not to far away.

From 91 to 93 map change you are not going to see much difference if any at all. I dont see too much more timing going in for a 2 pt change in octane.
If someone is making 17whp or whatever it was on this flash, it is well worth it as is and be happy you are even seeing that on an NA flash

Gotcha, I will be giving this a try sometime next week. I cant wait to try and get this thing over 300whp. If I cant hit 12s with the reflash I need to hang it up. lol

Besides Technosquare, I wonder if there is somebody else doing this reflash. I am very interested in this mod but living in Florida and having the car as my daily driver, I can't afford to wait a week or more while my car is sitting lifeless in front of my house as the computer goes to the other side of the country.

I know I'm not the only one in this position so if something can be done for us, the mere mortals that count on only one car to go to work, it would be great.

You aren't going to hit 12's (drop 3 tenths) with just the reflash unless you push the car.

You've seen better trap speeds than I EVER have yet I've run a faster time because I pushed my car harder. You probably could hit 12's seeing the conditions you see if you pushed the car as hard as I was pushing mine, but its at a cost (in my case my flywheel breaking : ).

I'm not saying that as a dis, I understand your point of view completely, I just think its a waste to spend money upgrading the car when you could see improvement and just fix the weak points you find with the money you planned to spend.

I like finding weak points because it lets me know what to watch for and helps me in fixing them should they become present later.

profink I had an issue installing my new wheels and suspension that I put off the intake swap. My car is in the body shop till saturday getting some fender work in. I live south of Ventura blvd, 30 secs away from chipotle to give u an idea where I am. I am going to supercar Sunday and am free right after its over around 10. If you are free then I would appreciate it if you could help me out with the swap. But let me know asap so I can schedule a dyno with technosquare this upcoming week.
