Impossible to notice any difference by switching from a perfectly fine stock paper filter to a K&N. I'll wait for those that claim a noticeable difference though to chime on in....."10whp over here!"
My opinion is that the breathing is perfectly fine on the HR motors, just put on your choice of a catback, toss on some LTW wheels, and swap in the 4.08 FD to really open er up. Don't mod just for "mods sake" or cause everyone else is doing it, sometimes less most certainly is more...that is unless you're a "likes carbon fiber dash kits type."

I ordered mine because I want tokeep the stock airbox and have somethingthat will flow a tad better then oem and something i can clean often instead of replacing. I know it probably wont yield much gains but its more of a durability modfor me. However I will have the car redyno'd on the 12th withthe k&n.

Yea I'm gonna get them. I know they'll breath alot better. Maybe 2hp gain. Thats enough for me for 80 dollars or w.e it'll cost.. They'll last longer too. And I really wanna see if it'll change the sound. I hope it deepers it. But I can't see how air filters can do that.

Actually I have dynoed one other time after that last dyno. I dyno anytime if there are opportunites for cheap dynos Last dyno I paid $40 for 3 pulls with a/f.
I have clean stock filters. I just dont see the need for a comparison over stock. I think its not a great difference but what is great is that you dont lose power like other intakes.
If the greddy kit gets held back past the summer I plan on putting headers on the car next month! so stay tuned to that!

Well after speakin wtihsome locals. There has been people here that haev put headers on their HR.
From the looks of it the older headers do fit the HR. The bolt pattern and spacing is plenty. Only thing now is you have to switch out the the pre-HR cats or test pipes
I wish I knew this before I bought my FI test pipes.
Next up headers and new test pipes for me than dyno

The pre-HR headers is interesting. What headers are you guys going to use?
Oh and do you guys think HR designed headers would offer better gains, or is it just about fitment?
