Default Clutch engagement

I've read alot about the slave cylinder problems on the '07's. I just wanted to ask if something was normal.

I have a new '08 PPW 350z entha. model. I bought it with 53 miles and I'm almost through the breakin point with 776 miles. I washed the car for the first time the other day and after washing it I let it sit the next day because I had another car to drive. The clutch was pretty stiff when it engages but you could appreciate it because it gives a sense of durability. As of yesterday some how it the clutch engagement is very soft and very .... smooth. Almost Honda like. Is this normal or is this the onset of the slave cylinder problem?

It was manufactured on 10/07 if that helps.

Thanks

in my experience stiff clutch=good and soft clutch=bad but like previously posted yours is breaking in still so it may have been unusually stiff to start with and is now at its regular stiffness. Give it time if you have the problem you will know it.

nissan fixed my clutch twice, the first month i bought the 07, now it seems to be fine, however when i drive it hard i notice tha my clucth gets really soft, but then the next day after its back to hard againg. another thing my car has done a few times lately is the first gear will disengage while moving in slow traffic sometimes but it rearly does it. dont know if i should take it to the dealer cause it doesn't happen all the time. any ideas???

That doesnt sound normal unless somehow it isnt all the way in gear. I would definitely get it checked out but because of the fact that you said its intermittent that will make it hard to diagnose/fix from a dealers standpoint.

it might be an early sign of fluid starting to become restricted. the dealer told me that is why the slaves are failing. go bring it in, you are way under warranty.
