Default Just got back from getting my Slave Cylinder swapped

I was going to post this on the main thread but I cannot stress how much of a difference it has made. I never thought I had the slave problem but my car would shake occasionally starting out in first and was just rough but everyone said "its normal". Other than the shaking, I never would have thought or come up with the idea that this isn't the way my car should be shifting (every gear). But as I drove home from getting it swapped out, my Z was shifting throught every gear soo smoothly. From starting out in first, to shifting though all gears, I am impressed and cannot stress on how much of a difference it made. Even if you dont think anything is wrong with your car and your on the recall list, get it swapped out ASAP.

I took it to WCN, a "4 hour claimed" job, but it took them 2 days. Its definitely worth it though. First gear was my rough gear too, not anymore.

Good to hear and I'm sure Nissan made the new one to last for many years.

I feel the same way. I always thought it was just the way the car was and it didnt even bother me really. But after driving home I feel like the car runs soo much better.

I second to that. I just had mine done last monday and i have to admit, my car drives smoother and the clutch engagement is a little stiffer than before. imo, it feels way better than before.

just got mine swapped yesterday. It is really wierd though, reason being that my shifter seems to sit lower and my shifts are quicker. Does anyone else seem to be experiencing it or did my dealership hook it up with a shortshifter?

got mine done today, they replace the slave cyclender and bushing but it was still making a growling noise so they end up replacing my whole tranny with a new one. Shift is smoother and quicker.....

I took mine to Huntington Beach Nissan where I bought my car from a friend of mine who works there. I called ahead of time, as I have mentioned to the other threads like this before because apparently, they need to get your VIN# 1st, then they'll order the part for the recall, then set up a date and time with you for when to bring in your car. I guess NISSAN is just being strict or something. I was lucky enough at that time for them to have the part in stock and it took half of my day for the whole thing to be done. I dropped my car off around 6:50am-ish and it was done around 1pm-ish. they set me up with a rental car for the day though. but also, they said depending on the schedule, it could take a day-or-two so i really suggest you call ahead of time.

Even though I had the clutch and etc replaced a few month's ago, I'm going to take my car in today for the updated Slave Cylinder...I just received my recall voucher yesterday...I have also noticed the rough take-off in 1st sometimes...Glad to see they are fixing this problem!!

I bought my car there too, but I never go there. I tried to get an oil change a while back and they bottomed out my car and the lift, then they tried to put it on again....and again...and again....resulting in some nice deep scratches in the HKS exhaust. So, end result, "HB is No Bueno"
