Default Flywheel rattle?

ok so i was driving home from my girlfriends house tonight and i had just gotten off the tollway and was stopped at a stoplight. Well after about 2 minutes of sitting there a vibration started happening and i turned the music down to listen and it sounds like the clutch/flywheel rattle that all z's make except it was really exaggerated and almost sounded like there was no fluid. i know what it sounds like all the time but this was just a ton loud and vibrated the car a whole lot more Any ideas? Or am I just freaking out because it was loud, thanks

Does the sound go away when you press in the clutch?Sounds like Clutch throw out bearing. Do you have a lighten flywheel?Do you feel grinding when you take off?

not really grinding but it did mostly go away when the clutch was depressed, and the clutch assembly is stock

This is normal on a Z and G. Nothing to worry about. It goes away when the clutch is depressed.

Just use enough grease between the TO bearing and output shaft next time you pop your tranny open, I just did mine =]

Yup.. Mine is really loud also. Took it to the dealer many times for this issue and had it escladed to Reginal at Nissan HQ and they also claim it is normal.

I know how you feel it's really loud and just doesn't seem right at all but Nissan claims it's norma..

When your sitting at a light for a few moments, your engine is going to get hot because there is no free flowing air entering your radiator because your not moving. Thus, the radiator fan turns on causing a slight drop in RPM's making the chattering sound and vibrations you are talking about. This also happens when you turn on the a/c from a stop. But the chattering only occurs for a few seconds and rpm's return back to normal and the chattering should go away.
