Wow. Cobb is quite the realist tuner. Nice to see some truth in "print"/

just cause its arc doesn't mean there will actually be gains

if u like the sound keep ur nismo's on, if u want the power to be more repeatable (no heat soak) then put the stock ones back on. but i can only see the heat soak being a problem if u drag race, other than that, u should be fine

What is the make of the blue intake?

And are the tests on a G37 completely compatible with the '07-08 Zs?

It's available now as long as you don't have an '07 http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=3686
Stage 1 - +9 HP
Stage 2 (HFC's & test pipes) - +17 HP

Those numbers are from our Mustang dyno at 4500 ft altitude as well.

are there dyno's of this? is this tunable now? is someone with a pre 07 gets this and goes to a "protuner", will the tuner be able to tune this? also, is the end user tuning software (i think u guys call it "street tuner" or something like that) available yet?

when will the hr version be available?

Dyno chart:

We do not have tuning software available for these yet. I don't have a reliable date for the HR version yet. But it is being worked on.

Props to Cobbs for both trying to develop products for the new HR engines and for being truthful about the stock setup being as effective as aftermarket intakes.

Just because they tested on G37, doesn't mean the Z won't get better gains. Maybe the higher displacement HR is more efficient. I know CAI don't really make much power, but I don't think this is a adequate test for both version of the HR engine.

Actually, Gambino has been awesome enough to let us do some testing on his car ('07 Z) and the results are the same. That's not to say that there isn't an intake we haven't tested that does get better results. One could exist... Maybe.

Did you happen to test the Stillen dual intake, or are they not out for the G37 yet?

I have that stillen duel intake for about a month now I could feel the power of car from that intake and I tested so many time between stock and stillen with my gt2 that calculate 0-60second time it way faster with stillen

This is my question.+17 HP how that work, for example if I install a exhaust and from that I get 12 HP then after that ,I use stage 2
those 17 HP add to the 12 that I alredy had and would be a total of 29HP or
it would only add 5 more and bring the HP to 17.
