If you want to compare apples to apples, and '08 GT3 Cup goes for around $390k at today's exchange rate
so i'll be able to buy a used 380RS-C for 70k next year (if it depreciates as much as a porsche cup car does)... sweet...

for some reason i thought that new porsche cup cars cost about 200k new, iguess i mixed something up

Not really, since the Z is not a car that will receive a lot of updates due to the series that it was designed to race in...these cars will be competitive in their series for the next several years. When Porsche releases a new cup car, nearly everyone buys it, or they do like they did this year...and switch manufacturers (several teams switched cars this year). When the new version is released the old version isn't worth very much. Same goes for any of these similar type cars, like an older Z06 vs a new GT series one, or a 360 Challenge car vs a 430 Challenge car

i forgot to put *sarcasm* at the end of that comment, my bad

but even if it was 70k for one next year, i'd rather buy a street legal r35 (if i could afford a 70k car) that i can drive everyday, rather than a track only car for that much...
