I'm confused. Read entire thread and i see few ppl have installed cai injen and still am confused if HP was gained if any. Also NO ONE did dynos so doesn't look like it's conclusive that it gained HP. Also i agree with some of the posters that nissan engeneer spent 1000 of hrs and money on perfect air flow design and hp gain so what makes you think some aftermarket company can do it better then designer of the car themeselves.

So looks like

Technosquare reflash gains 50hp correct and probalby should be first mod on stock car ??

Test pipes second ?

Does true dual exhust add hp and whould that be done before or after intakes. Not even sure if i wanna do exhust. Please advise guys. Thanks.

im tired of hearing people say that stock intake it the best.in most cases they are right...it is better.. but not the best.
here the reason why peolpe think that stock is the best.
-try to think of the entire aspiration system of your car.
ok from stock the restriction/choke point on the z's respratory system is the cats and cat-back. so you gain hp from cat's and exhaust. this is all known info....ok...
but this is what everybody raving about the stock intakes gets wrong.
-lets say you get berk hfc and the hks dual exhaust for example
now that the exhaust and/or cats are no longer the choke point and are free flowing. the choke point is transfered to the intakes thus making aftermarket intakes show gains.
so stock intakes are for people that are staying with stock exhaust but if you already have a full exhaust system or planning on a full exhaust system then intake will help.

Nice, definitely a stock vs HKS vs HKS+Injen CAI comparison. Great!

I had ordered Black Powder Coated Injen Intakes SP1987 from instensepower.com.. please, no one ever order from them! I order these intakes two weeks ago and they are yet to have even been shipped out of their wearhouse in Arizona! Called them up last week on Monday and they told me they couldn't refund me the money because Injen had already invoice them for the product and it should be shipping out shortly.. a week later and still nothing!

Well anyway.. since they're giving me such a hastle I decided to purchase the intakes from a local shop for a little more but at least I'll have them right now. When these Black Injen Intakes arrive at my house I'm willing to resell them for $400 shipped to anywhere in the continental U.S. So if anyone's willing to wait and save a few bucks let me know.

^ must be the luck of the draw... usually hear good things from intensepower... I'm sure it will clear up...

Had something similar happen to me when I did the Bassani group buy this past summer... another vendor sold out of them so I was stuck waiting for over a month... sh*t happens sometimes, just gotta roll with it... not much you can do now...

I just installed my dual injen intakes today and last week i installed the turboxs exhaust. I can honestly say that the power in the car has definitely increased, the tires have a hard time sticking now. Grant it they are stock but they r new. I love the sound at wot with the exhaust with silencers, yummie.

Same for me as well. After I installed my Injen CAI, I noticed a lack of traction in 1st and 2nd gear if the acceleration isn't gradual. I might even be slower now because of the lack of grip..
