Meh im just skeptical. None of the intakes out have impressed me with realistic gains. Sure they sound nice, but for this kind of money, id put it towards some test pipes.

Hey man how are you? Can't blame anyone for being skeptical on this. But I have a feeling people will find out the stuff really works and it'll be a hot item once it comes out. Easy for me to endorse this since I got a really good deal on them.

Did you even look at the pics in the OP and notice where those filter elements are located???

If you ever drive through water that deep, you're a F'ing retard and deserve to be plastered all over the TV networks as the fire department is rescuing your *** out of the raging flood waters.

He put them on at a show and got them free. So why would he complain.

So, no dyno yet?

looks bada$$, however, it has been determined (mathmaticlly in a previous thread)that the stock setup is capable of supplying all the air our engines can use.....therfore, I will keep my K&Ns.

Not yet! And the reason for this is that Tony's dyno, Hydrazine from motordyne, is not available b/c he is in the middle of building a new shop. His dyno was one I used for my baseline and would have to use his to see if I gained anything from this intake.
I may not truly find out, with dyno numbers to prove, that I gained anything from it b/c I have an appointment with Technosquare next week and this will totally change the performance output of my car.
All I know is that I'm confident enough that this intake, just from feel or butt dyno however you may want to call it, made a noticeable difference in a very good way on how the car pulls. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean much to most since other attempts on a CAI for the HR failed to impress all. I'll be the first to take this off my car if did not notice what did after putting them on. Did I mention the sound difference especially above 5000 RPM? Sweeeet!

I'd say find a different dyno and do both the cai and stock intakes. otherwise everyone will remain skeptical

I agree, i'll wait on the side by side testing done on the same day with the same temperatures. . .but one thing i do like is that you get to keep the strut tower bar! . . .other intake systems you cant have it on there, so you are actually paying to take them off when you paid to have them on the car. . .i like my strut tower bars. . .

Prime. . .i see you are out in Houston, i usually venture out there on a 6 hour drive to visit a friend in Tomball and as i see it the Houston area likes big HP gains no matter what type of sport car you have, are there get togethers from Z owners out there and if there is a Z tuner out there that is known for doing great work/tuning on Z's, i would appreciate it if you could point me in their direction. . .thanks. . .

What intake for the HR motor requires you to leave your strut bar off?
I know these dont:
JWT
Stillen
Fujita

I was thinking the same thing. The Cobb intakes that are in development did not require me to remove the strut bar, even for installation.
