yeah, get an exhaust, and if the pesky check engine light does not bother you get test pipes(i think HFC are rip off).

as far as performance goes. exhaust is the only real option i have seen that proves some good gains bolt on wise. you could get a tune after the exhaust is on and pump 300whp (maybe LOL). sounds to me like this is the route you want to go. the HKS is a good exhaust + test pipes + o2 mod + tune = some good hp for about 3k very rough guestimate.

Ran three cars with nitrous, never had any gauges, colder plugs,a tune, and install is pretty easy. You may have to be mechanically inclined enough to use a self tappin screw with a drill and know that the wire coming of the + side is the hot wire lol.

My current set up is push button only, no tps switch, no safety shut offs. They made all this safety stuff to get past the fear mongering of nitrous that is so rampant.

Cars i have run on nitrous and were daily drivers.
02 Cavalier 2.2 OHV engine. Mods shaved head, short ram intake,75 dry shot zex kit, exhaust met a cutting torch( i was 16 but it made for some great fun and cheap too) drove it for 2 years, never any problems.
03 Alero 2.2 ecotec engine. Mods 75 shot zex kit, K&N drop in filter. no probs
07 350z enth 3.5. mods thus far; Test pipes, K&N drop in filters, Dyno Tune Nitrous kit 100 shot (mostly). No problems exept for current areas low octane fuel.
