I've got the Nismo intakes along with the HKS HP exhaust. Sounds great together, but I wish I would have waited a few months and got the Injen intakes. From what I've heard, they're pretty impressive.

hey zman i dont know why you are wasting your money on headers from nismo anyways. didn't they all ready prove that there arent any better flowing headers out there than the ones that come with the car. same reason they aren't making plenum spacers as well.

i could be wrong but i could have sworn i read that somewhere.

also i have the hks-hi power exhaust and hfc's with AEM intakes and i gained alot of power. i mean i know evey car is different but i gaind like almost 20 wheel from that.
before i had anymods done at all i went to have the car dyno'd and i was at 281 wheel. after those three mods were done i dyno'd my car again and ended up at like 298 wheel. now i just twin turbo'd the car so ill be right around 500 wheel. cant wait. lol

i think the only thing i didn't really like about the intakes and the exhaust was my acceleration seemed to go down. all of that horespower gain was in the high end. i like my acceleration ya know.

take everything im about to say in a nice way cus when it all just text the way im saying this may be misunderstood as mean.....

#1He lost power with aftermarket headers, **TEST PIPES**, and dual exhaust.
i never said anything about losing power with hfc. hfc are awesome!

And when i say nismo im not talking about the parts of a nismo z you pick up off the lot. im talking nissan has a whole line of racing part that are way past the floor room nismo z. they sell full racing parts for our z. they ever have 3 levels of racing cams...all under warranty!!!

And the reason im doing nismo headers and hfc on my car along with the reason this thread was started is cus our cars are new and have 3-5 years of warrenty on them. to give that up for just 5-10hp is dumb. because ANYTHING aftermarket with the headers or cat voids the ENTIRE warranty. so what happen when somthing breaks from the factory...
anyways im not looking for massive power gains from anything from our engine from one single part. this engine is to advanced for that.

i want headers and hfc that will help my other mods(intakes, turbos, internals) work better. im not looking for power at the cost of a warranty that might save my *** later on down the road.
-thanks
---to each his own i guess

ps.: O Ya! and there not making plenum spacers anymore cus on the older model there was a spacing problem that nissan missed and companies put out the plenum spacers mod to fix the problem. the hr fixed that problem as you can see with the new raised hood. no more problem = no more spacers
the old model would gain(small) with the plenum spacers.[my friend has the 05 with spacers]

wrong:

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

This federal law regulates warranties for the protection of consumers. The essence of the law concerning aftermarket auto parts is that a vehicle manufacturer may not condition a written or implied warranty on the consumers using parts or services which are identified by brand, trade, or corporate name (such as the vehicle maker's brand) unless the parts or service are provided free of charge. The law means that the use of an aftermarket part alone is not cause for denying the warranty. However, the law's protection does not extend to aftermarket parts in situations where such parts actually caused the damage being claimed under the warranty. Further, consumers are advised to be aware of any specific terms or conditions stated in the warranty which may result in its being voided. The law states in relevant part:

“No warrantor of a consumer product may condition his written or implied warranty of such product on the consumers using, in connection with such product, any article or service (other than article or service provided without charge under the terms of the warranty) which is identified by brand, trade or corporate name...” (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).
