Default VQ35HR+Reflash+Nitrous FYI

For those who plan on running nitrous with intentions on buying the ECU reflash from Technosqaure, I’ve contacted them and they suggested against purchasing their performance reflash. However, they do offer an L-Spec reflash that provides limiter removal, redline increase and the 100% throttle fix for $345 + shipping. This is just FYI

i just got a reflash from them, i just told them not to touch the timing map... they went ahead and leaned it out and of course it was lean on spray so i just bumped the fuel jet i little more and its all good.

Thanks for the info. I'm now deciding between this and the GReddy e manage ultimate.

with the e manage, a NX kit, and a tune I'm looking at just under 1500 bucks. this would knock that price to just under a grand.

get a utec, EU has a nasty habit of frying coils on the vq35.

so 500 for all the extra capabilities of a utec/EU? thats certainly the way I would go. theres so much more you can do with a utec over a static tune. plus, what if you decide in the future you want to run some boost? or that you dont want to run nitrous everytime youre WOT. you can have an NA and a spray map with a utec, but you cant do that with a reflash

im pretty sure they are similar in price, maybe the EU is slightly cheaper. the only thing the EU has over the UTEC is the expandability to the vmanage, but i think you can even get the vmanage to work with the utec. the user interface on the utec is a little friendlier too. in general, based off everything i know or have heard, unless i was getting a great deal on an EU, id get a utec.

I've run nitrous before on my 04 Sentra SpecV. I ran a 75 shot which is what I am planning on running on my Z. I don't understand why I can't have a total reflash done on my Z and still run nitrous. As long as I run the right jets so I don't run lean on the spray what's the difference? I know about running 100 and over shots with timing and everything else...but a 75 shot should be good with a tune. Just wondering. I'm trying to get every once of info before I set everything up next month.

because with a tune they advance the timing and lean out the afr. two things that are your enemy on spray. its not that you cant do it. and running a 45 shot hardly even counts, its just that the new tune will be working against you

I think I'm going to use this with the emanage ultimate. I think it's the best bet from the different things I've seen. unless a haltech or something else comes out in the mean time I think I'm going to start this process soon. or did I totally miss something and the haltech is already out?

The Utec isnt available for the HR motor as far as I know.

Question

I already have the reflash and I'm pretty much to the point of pulling the trigger on the zex hr specific kit... should I have the ecu reflashed back to factory specs?
What do I need to consider if I don't?

LOL @ 100% throttle fix. It doesn't need fixing. Shame on Technosquare for perpetuating this fallacy.
