Is the DE TB bigger? I thought the HR had a larger diameter TB.

I'm not sure about swappable parts just yet. I would hope that the Alternator, Start, INjectors, coil packs are the same.

the DE TB is ~69mm diameter and the HR is smaller but Dual.

Dunno.

I see it now, it is a rev up. I'm so used to the intake cam being the only variable.

Would be very curious to see more details on this, if this did or did not make more power than the single TB.

This actually sounds like a nice swap to do, specially if there a nice gain for us DE owners out weight the cost. BTW what is size of VQ37HR TB?

I'm well aware, hence the quote in my response:

Pretty good idea. What is the size of the VQ37HR TB and exhaust manifold? I really want to do this swap.

If they are, I want to know if the power is worth the cost.

I wont have the longblock in my hands until Labor day weekend.

I don't even know anyone with a VQ37 so that I can take a peak under the hood, Although ANdy is picking up his GTR on Monday. I really doubt he'll let me under the under hood to pull the plenum and lower intake manifild off.

With an adapter, an HR manifold has been bolted up to the DE. Not sure how they worked out wiring for the dual TBs, though.

Are you thinking of adapting the VR manifold to the VQ? I can't imagine what one would cost...

If you can. Can you give us more info on that. How much power gain? Cost? Other stuff?

And yeah the VQ37HR could be a better option if it works and gives out more power.

Would that even work/fit?

I seriously doubt Nissan would even let someone order the part without a VIN and a dealership saying the original was broken.

pretty outrageous assumption. considering the only real way to order it is to order through a dealer (even if you order online its through a registered dealer), NNA has no idea if its broken or not.
