i have a question regarding high flow cats, a friend of mine said to get tp's instead of hfc's due to the nismo exhaust i have on my z tends to over time blow the substrate material in the hfc into the midpipe. is there any truth to this? i dont want the rasp that comes with tp's but i dont know enough about the the updated versions of hfc's for the vq35hr motor.

high flow cats to do have a substrate material they are either metallaic or ceramic. they are not like mufflers or resonators.

but on the new motor and new designs of the hfc's does the material get blown out of the hfc's after time like they did in the hfc's for the vq35de designs
this is the reason im hesitating on the tp's and hfc's

Everyone gets that hesitation, you need a tune. I got it last week pretty bad trying to jump on a highway and floored it in 3rd. That could have gotten ugly really fast.

will the 02 sensor adapters from ebay work? or is stuffing the 02 with steel wool the best chance at not throwing a code?

Ive uploaded the pics to show the process. I did it today. The 30 box of brillo was like 3.95 and one pic shows me shaking the soap out as much as possible. I think the pics are pretty self explanitory and show what Kram has already explained.
