We both did not feel comfortable about raising the redline on this HR engine just yet until we get more familiar with it. I also track my car and having it raise would cause me to be in the raised portion for a long period which could do damage to the engine. I rather keep it at stock for now.
with the 7.5k redline like you have, does the throttle stay open open all the way to the redline or does it start closing earlier like the stock tune's "soft limiter"?
Per Jared the stock throttle already programmed in the HR stock ECU is 100% all the way to redline. The DE's were not. They were surprised and saw it as 100% already on the HR.
Off topic, but I swear one of the local ricers here said the same exact thing when I asked him why he bought a loud raspy cheap ebay brand exhaust instead of getting mugen or something. LOL
On topic again, Solo, do you feel more horsepower at lower speeds or higher up? Does it feel more smoother and linear? 4-5 hp gain isn't too bad for a bone stock engine, I wonder what the tune would yield on bolt on Zs.
thats interesting, iirc technosquare claimed that it was not the case, but i may be mistaken
What we saw on his car is it's 100% throttle control from zero to redline. This may not be the case on other models of HR vehicles but on his it works that way.
260ish stock. thats more like it. lmao at HR owners claiming 280's stock after they dyno on a dynocom or mustang or whatever. De would have done around 240 on that uprev dyno.
I already answered your question in another post a page back. It pulls harder all the way from 3k and up to redline. 2nd gear now is easy to break the tires loose just by getting on the throttle. It definitely wants to go.
By coincidence, I was at GTM this morning and they were tuning the shop's boosted 350Z which was strapped to the dyno. I think you guys will be pretty impressed when they officially publish the figures. They were at 500+ WHp on pump gas by the time I left at 11:30. They were running around pretty busy so I stayed out of the way. Sorry, I don't have all the details.
