Default HR + Berk HFC = Lean New DJ#'s

Pre-post install comparison dyno. I also put new k&n drop-ins in at the shop. Was done in 5th. Look at the humidity. Initial run after install showed 16-17 a/f. Reset ecu and tried a few more times. Pretty bad. A/F was not pre-cat, it was at the tail. How much of a difference would that make?

Mods:
TurboXS cbe
Berk HFC
K&N drop ins
JWT fly

Uprev is working on the HR's right now. I would get there Osiris flash once it becomes available. On my 04.5 the difference between the tuned map and the stock map was astounding. It was just as lean as yours with the same mods only on a DE. https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...ipppeeeee.html

If u scroll down on that page u see my stock Vs tuned map comparison. Look at difference in the smoothness in the curve and the lean difference. The car feels just as smooth as it looks on the dyno.

I'd imagine a point or 2, as far as AFR goes. If I had to take an educated guess, I'd say your motor is probably running a little on the lean side. Using the 1-2 point rule, 16-17 AFR would be like 14-16 AFR. It's not uncommon after HFC to see AFR rising beyond 14, so theres probably more hp to be found with a tune.

Two things.

1- Resetting your ECU doesn't do squat, that's an old wives tale. The fuel trims adapt when you drive. Resetting your ECU will not speed up the process.

2- A/F ratios taken after any catalytic converter are useless. Of course the cat is going to throw off the readings!

I got the berks with the extra bungs welded pre-cat. When I get uprev protuned we'll use those to get me back to around 13.5, then I'll post new results.

After we reset the ecu the a/f did actually drop 1-2 points to what you see from run #6. Run #5 was higher pre reset. Run #3 was last before cat install.
