You can get an 08.. Like us. Say u go the last production year of the 350. Theeen. hate yourself because a year later the car is going for over 4k less then what your paid. And you coulda waited a year and toughed it out with the **** box u had before and got a 370 for the same price..

It's the last production year of the Coupes, not the Roadsters. 09' 350z Roadsters will be produced until they release the 370z Roadster.

Just make sure if you buy any Z, you get the brembos! Not only do they look sexy as hell under a set of nice wheels, but they are okay for occassional track/touge use.
Get a used 07 from a private party. There will be plenty of people selling their 350's at a loss to get the 370's. Take advantage of them.

I'd wait until the 370's really hit the streets in mass quantities. 350's will drop in price even more. I recognize your name from the cobalt forums. I might be gettin into a white or black HR soon myself.

I got an 08 six months ago when the 370Z was just some photoshopped pictures and a disguised prototype running around the nurburgring. The 370Z is a better, more developed car for various reasons. It even has a proper glove box and usable hatch space. But if you don't mind giving up those things for a cheap new 08, I say go for it.

Guys guys we can look forward to that guy who thinks he's hot **** in his brand new 370z cruising down the interstate, and what do we do? Well I would pull up and flip the switch on his ***, and for you FI guys you know what to do as well! Basic bolt-on guys you might be in trouble depending on whatcha got!

You'd have to get a Z for something like 18k to get a 15k price difference out of it. I haven't checked lately, but I think you could probably find new-on-lot 08s in the 25k range for base models (invoice is a hair under 27k). Just keep in mind you should start looking now, since base models can be hard to find.
If you're able to get a 25k '08 350Z, a generic car payment (10% down, 60mo, 7%) would be something like 490 (TTL of 10% included). If you wheel and deal, and somehow find a 370Z for invoice (assuming the price difference between MSRP and invoice for the 350Z holds, it will be around 28k invoice) the same loan terms, may be less than $80 diff. between a 350 and 370Z.
If you're looking for a great value on Zs, slightly used ones and Nismos will definitely be in the low-mid 20s, maybe even less if they're "high" mileage (1k miles per month)
Be careful when thinking about the fastest car you can buy for the money. It'll drive you nuts. For 30k you could get a nearly new C6. But for low 20s you could also get a used WRX, STI or Evo or pick up a C5 Z06 or early C6 for the price of a discounted used 08 Z, too.

In the end, it's your call.

I know, I used to sell cars, so I end up really considering all the options, and there really are a ton of options out there. The C5 Z06 was also a strong consideration, as they are definately in my price range and a very nice car. I was mainly hoping to take advantage of the situation to get a deal on a new leftover 08 Z, since they are going well below invoice. If that doesn't work, it may just become a brand new search for another type of car, I don't know yet.

08 Z
I got my 08 San Marino Blue for 23.5 out the door after some haggling. i actually went up to the dealership to test drive the 370 but saw the last of the 08s on the lot. I am happy and plan on maybe adding Nismo parts.

Lucky bastard!!! haha. I just got an email from my Nissan dealership. They want to buy my car back so I buy another one from them. I'll see what they want to give me and I'll possibly get a 370 if everything works out...

USAA has dealer submit bids for no-negotiation pricing. Currently in my area brand new 08 Z Base goes for $20300 and a brand new 08 Z Enthusiast 6MT Coupe goes for $21,200. There are at least 2 08 Z base left at nearly every single dealer in my state.
The 370Z would be $30,000+. Yes, the 370Z is better than the 350Z. There is NO question about that. The question is if it is AT MINIMUM $10,000 better. In my opinion, no. That's why I'm waiting for an excess in inventory on the 370Z or when the prices of 350Z become even more stupidly low.
