Mobil 1 and K&N Filter

 

how many quarts are needed?

 

Napa gold filter and Amsoil 10w30 will be my next oil change. Been running Amsoil 5w30 and stock filter to date. The 10w30 seems to hold up better, and the Napa filter is a pretty nice solid (relatively) cheap filter.

 

i use johnsons baby oil and i just stuff my filter with paper towels. time for a change just pull the paper towels out and stuff again. roll of paper towels is 99 cents. johnsons baby oil about 20 bucks to fill the z. =)

 

I am going to change my oil tomorrow. And need a few suggestions being that I can't get a response in the Oil analysts thread and I am not a rocket scientist nor do I understand the stuff that is in the thread. What are people suggesting Oil and Filter.... Any perks of one over the other. I daily drive the car and I live in Florida.

 

Just changed mine to GC (German Castrol) 0W-30 and M1 filter (M1-110); my g/f's previous G seemed to like this combination and it still seems favorable according to other oil threads though I am not entirely sure about the filter as I haven't read much about it.

 

im using castrol synthec 10-30 and a K&N oil filter....car runs great.

 

I drive the car like its meant to be driven what wait would you guys recomend? What is the 0w-30 going to beneift over 10w-30?

 

I use Pennzoil synthetic 5w-30 every 2500 miles with purolator filter. shouldnt really matter just do oil changes regularly and you'll be set

edit: I drive my car 160 miles a day. hence why I do such frequent oil changes. im obsessed with maintenance

 

go to autozone. get the German made Castrol Syntec 0w30. pick up a mobile 1 filter, usually they will have a combo sale on those two products. your HR will love you for it.

 

Alright lol If you say so. But if it doesn't love me I am going to make sure your Z doesn't have run flatts lol J/K lol. I am hoping for 13.00 this weds keeping fingers crossed I read the oil itself adds hp.

Im not that ignorant but my turn signal fluid has been low.

 

^^^ I always used to go to Autozone and buy GC (only place that had it) there but then I wandered into a Pep Boys last week and they, too, are now carrying GC it seems.

As I was doing my oil change, something came to mind. Didn't GC used to have a greenish color to it?

 

all i could find was a black bottle that said euroean formula and it 7 bucks a quart do i truly need this stuff and what are the benefits of me using it. Also what is the benefit of havin the mobile filter over the fram?

 

yep it was green, now it has a goldish look to it. both have tested very well in the VQ.

You were the guy who was in Autozone like 10 minutes before us. My buddy was looking for oil for the 330, and his friends roommate works there and was like "wtf is everyone's obsession with this oil?"

We however needed heavier weight do to a certain heat source we are installing.

 

im running royal purple 5w30 with k&n oil filter, this is my first oil change, no problems so far, car running great.

 

LoL autozone off 50? Small world lol Do you go to the Z/G meets at fridays off 50?

 

Never been, maybe this week. Trying to get my buddies car fired and I'm the wiring guy on the project (gauges, meth, boost controller, etc) so if his car is done I'll be there. If not, I'll be making sure my wiring is good.

 

I got it changed at a local joint. Amzoil 5w-30 I do not know what kind of filter we will see how it works out.
