Injen CAI with stock exhaust
hi!
i thinking about installing an injen CAI because the gains at the top of the rpm are very
but i have a question ... until now my lady is completly stock and i am not sure that there are the same gains as shown here (https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/4151...my-db-07z.html), if the exhaust is just stock ...
my thougts are that if you improve the level of air through an intake the end of the machine (exhaust) must be able to deliver that too ... and that wouldn't be with the stock one?!
what do you think about that?!

hmmm ... and you think there will be no problems because of the restrictive stock exhaust ... okay ...
im not a fan of CAI. gotta be careful in water. but yeah the exhaust wont be a problem.

Yeah I think you will be fine too. As you can see on several cars that have had the Injen CAI install you gain HP and TQ on the top end. You may not feel it now, but the sound and look are amazing. My HR showed a heck of a gain... 13hp and 4tq, not bad for a start.
Its a great first step in modding the HR I think. Just look at the Dyno posted by hiz-n-herz

The green line is the Injen CAI.. very positive results. Just cant argue with that
Again, it may not be much now... But when you get the rest put on and a tune, your car will be alot faster

well i have a DE but i loved my injen ever since i had it...had the hydro shield or whatever its called on and never had any problems...i would never drive my z in the winter though, so no problems with that, i did drive in rain and it was fine, car washes, was fine..now i am boosted and it sits in the garage, but yeah big fan of it.
