...and how much do you think it will cost to TT an HR the RIGHT way? Just about the same.

I'm so sick and tired of hearing this. What exactly do you think is the right way? Forced induction does not necessitate a huge compression drop and a super overpriced turbo kit.

proper EMS for a high boost application(preferably a good stand alone, Haltech, Fcon Vpro), solid return fuel system, proper gauges, proper clutch or VB upgrade, harmonically balanced pulley, upgraded radiator and hoses, oil catch can, right tires to put the power down, some sort of lsd if you dont vlsd already, proper injectors and fuel pump and money left over if you motor goes kaboom. im sure im missing all sorts of stuff but that is a start.

you dont need a standalone, radiator and hoses, return fuel system, tires, or lsd... those are all things to help make your setup better... you dont need them to tt a car...

You can be sick and tired all you want but there's a reason why you keep hearing it. How about maybe because it's true?

The F/I kits currently available are expensive. My idea of doing it the right way is to have all the supporting mods to go with it. This includes clutch, flywheel, CSC fix, engine management, fuel system, brakes, etc.

+1. If you look on Osaka motors site you get the engine and tranny for a RB26DET for around 3k. The install and incidentals are gonna run you a little more. You would be looking at the same price for this engine and install for the same or less than a TT kit w/install and other goodies to make sure you car doesn't break. At least the Skyline engine is already turbo'd with all you'll need and it's got more development time than the VQ35HR.

So can we all agree to let this thread die until we get some results from revshift or until they decide to throw in the towel lol.
