18 n/a hp is worth it. But I'll believe it when I see it reproduced.

Got another email this morning about the intake from redshift.

" Its no problem. I read through the thread a little and I see there is some confusion. Whenever we come out with a new product there are legal steps that need to be taken such as patents, copyrights and so on. This is the main reason why we don’t just snap a pic with a digital camera and post it on all the forums. We are taking orders now but there is a little bit of a waiting list, that is why I said to let us know if you are interested in purchasing one. We tested the manifold on one slightly modified 350z and we are working on putting more test results together from various cars including a 100% stock 350z. We do expect the gains to be within 15 - 20 hp on a completely stock VQ35HR. I will be sure to let you know as soon as the pictures are available."

Most people pay way more then that for exhausts that dont produce gains like that.

Yea I was about to say that but in this economy....anything is a lot of money. Also if you think about it, compared to STillen Headers, if these could produce a nice amount of power, plus the ease of install woudl make them more than worth it all day long Plus I wonder if these do anything for sound It'd be cool if they did, wouldn't mind a louder note...

With what their claiming the engine note should be changed significantly. Just like intakes or exhausts will change sound. **** my useless pretty nismo intakes completely changed my WOT sound.

Sounds pretty cool. I think these will be a good alternative for headers even if they only make 8whp becuase of the ease of install. Not only do you not have to pay $500 for install, but you can DIY

With swivels extensions and stubby wrenches anything can be DIY'd

Has anyone asked a time frame on when they think the pics and everything will be available? Might be good to do that.

these things never deliver what the maker claims them to produce at the wheels. i would be surprised if it gained 10whp. 5 to 8whp is probably more realistic but you never know.

If this actually turns out to make 18-20 more HP on the HR, I think i'm willing to pay the $700 for it, but I need to see some pics also.

I wonder what kind of gains you could expect if you paired it with the injen CAI's

well... too bad that that one has 6 individual throttle bodies, but the filters and the carbon covers could be "borrowed", they look a lot alike the mishimoto intake for the VQ35DE
