Default Another Berk HFC ?

after installing my HFC i had a hard time trying to line up the bar that connects to both the cats and the trans. has anyone else delt with this problem before? what would happen if i dont connect the bar? what can i do to fix it?

its right in front of the O2 sensors, the support brace that connects to the tranny and HFC.

I know what bracket you were talking about, I just wanted to see if you didn't put the cats on the wrong sides.

oh no they are on the right sides. they almost line up but the only way to make it fit is to pull the HFC closer but i am worried if i do that something will break.

losen the 2 bols that hold the bar. they are on a rubber bushing, so it should have some play. also, a little tension will be fine. eng, trans, and cats will move as one, so there should be no problems.

also, it is making a hissing sound everytime i get on it at WOT. anyone know what that could be from?

On mine, there was a half inch gap between the bracket and the Berks, which I spanned with a pair of washers, a spacer, and longer bolts.

that is called a leak or a rasp... if it's not one, then it's the other

the bar going across needs to be taken off or loosened a little to fit them in...it musst stay on cause thats what the bracket bolts too for the support which is the reason they have it on there, it is a must to prevent cracking!! ....a hiss or something i don't know u must have a leak somewhere

feel sorry for the guys getting rasp who didn't do their homework, i hate rasp!!! and thats why i love my exhaust, so clean and no rasp whatsoever

haha yeah i could imagine....there is rasp only in 1 - 3k rpm than its the hissing noise but only at WOT...its annoying me
