Placebo Affect!

Your paying closer attention to the accelaration there for notice something that has always been there...it just sounds louder because of that!

Just run the stock filters, unless you can find something that filters BETTER. The power limitation on our engines isn't flow related. Long tube intake make more power up top because of resonate frequencies, length plays a huge role in that, nothing to do with where the air comes from or really, what the filters look like.

Again, I have the HKS drop in foams and there is NO NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE from stock, no louder noise, no revvier engine, no nothing. I'm not upset, though, this small mod only cost $60 and as far as I know, it isn't hurting the HR so I'm not taking it out.

Has anyone here tried the Fram Air Hog? They were manufactured to compete with the K&N, but I don't hear much about them in these or any other threads.

How about this . . . save your money and don't buy them unless you need new filters. Drop in filters are nothing to get excited over.
