Default HKS drop in filters?

Has anyone mess with these filters? I see that everybody is using the K&N's. I want to read any reviews on the HKS if any

Im betting no one has yet. We would probably never have seen them if it weren't for the fact that the filters are the same as the 370Z filters. Lucky for us VQ35HR owners. At least there is another option to K&Ns or a CAI.

Nothing like hand-me-downs from the big brother!

I have them. No difference from stock, either performance or noise.

I've got them too, had them for a few months.

I've got a much more throaty noise from them and no dynos for proof but it seems to be more responsive and has a much smoother delivery.

Nice, I will get them regardless just so my intakes are not stock and I think they are cheaper than the k&n's

After reading stories and claims about how the oil on the k&n's can cause problems with the MAF, I'm a bit apprehensive about buying an aftermarket intake.

Do the HKS Hybrids last forever like the k&n's (are the re-usable).

I surely wouldn't want to buy new hks filters every 6 months...

Im betting that they are reusable. They're just foam.

One note on the K&N issue. The oil isn't much of a problem unless you use way too much and do that for tens of thousands of miles. Regardless, no matter what anyone chooses, there will pros and cons.

well just got them and big difference in sound and performance. Press on the gas and they sound like you have intakes under the hood. The performance you feel it down low then after 4k rpms it shoots. I called a friend of my that has a stock HR and we put the filters on his car and he went and tested them out. He came back and told me he also felt the difference. Rpms move a lot faster now. I'll see if I can make a video.

I heard Green Performance makes good filters,

http://www.greenfilterusa.com/

will the HKS Hybrid work in the 02-03 Maxima? K&N use's the same filter for the VQ30 then they do in the VQ35. I wonder if its the same way for HKS, they don't have it listed on their site, Just 82-99 Maxima?
