Question Which Flash should I choose?!

I am now ready to have my ECM sent out and Flashed...

My Mods are

- INJEN CAI
- Crawford HFC's
- HKS True Dual exhuast

Which should I choose? UPREV or Technosquare and why?

Thanks for the help

since you are not local to technosquare i would go uprev. if you were in cali i would say go with technosquare with a custom tune.

I'm not local to any shops so will be shipping it out. Defin won't be going FI anytime soon. Prolly not for another 2 years.

The uprev sounds like it has added benefits? It has Cam phasing, where the Technosquare doesn't...? Is this a huge advantage?

My goal is to put down similar WHP #'s as AH! I'd like to work towards 315-320WHP. Thats my goal.

I am scheduled for a Base Dyno May 6th. Will bolt on all the Mod parts and Dyno again that Day. Then ship out the ECM and schedule another 3 pulls when i get it back. See where my #'s are. I don't expect to be any higher then 310-315WHP. I have been debating ordering up some stillen headers. But will prolly wait and install around the sametime as the flashed ECM if I have the extra cash.

you don't need to send out your ecu for uprev, just find a local tuner, and go get tuned. i'd contact uprev for a recommended tuner in your area

I checked their website. There are no local tuners. I think shipping is my only option.

I hope you get the numbers your looking for... but without the headers, I dont think you will be able to reach 315-320whp. But I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

I can only speak with the tune I have, but I went uprev. Thing is that before the tune it was putting out 273 whp, after tuning it was at 284. The car runs strong with no issues (tracked often) but... it seems that unless they have an optimized tune for your parts, you might be down on power by about 10whp without a tune.

I would call them first.

Point taken. I just ordered the Stillen 304 stainless headers.

- Crawford HFC's
- HKS Hi-power true dual exhuast
- Stillen headers
- Injen CAI's
- Prolly go with a tune with Technosquare unless there is more info posted on why uprev would be better?

Curious to see what #'s I can post up.

I'm wondering the exact same thing as there is no tuner anywhere near me... however I'm curious if after a flash my A/F ratios will be safe.... anyone?

I'm rooting for good numbers out of your equipment. And i will decide which tune i will get after i see your numbers.

Best of luck!!

Awesome im glad you didnt take my post out of context. I hate when people get on and say "you will lose HP/TQ with Injen CAI" or "headers are a waste".
I do hope for the best, and being on the forum for the past year... it looks like technosquare puts out some awesome numbers... but that has been with A.H's car, and hes a local so they get the chance to fine tune his car. With yours, you will see great gains but might see more if you were local or had a shop near you to fine tune your car.

All and all, best of luck! You better post some results!!!!

I have not had a tune or headers yet, I cannot wait till I get them done too.

If you don't plan on going FI, at least for a few years....UPREV is definitely the tune you wanna get. Its the best N/A tune out for the HR's. Check out these threads : https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/42696...-hr-20whp.html

315-320RWHP is a little high but with headers you might barely make it...who knows?!

One of the UpRev tuners are coming to Hawaii this weekend so we're getting tuned and dyno'd. We'll post numbers when we finish!

Link is no good!

The problem with UpRev is there is no local shop to tune it. The nearest one is in PA. I haven't checked to see how many miles away it is. I'll have to check. But if its to far, then the cost of travel may not justify the means.

Edit: Its 232 miles...... Little over 4 hrs one way! OUCH

I believe the user "Brady" started this thread and others just chimed in with their results (which were pretty sick btw....)

I dont think you need to send out ECU for uprev. www.uprev.com

Call richard and ask. I believe they can send you an etune and just flash your ecu with it.

I tuned mine at a local shop with a dyno and gained a good bit of hp and tq through the midrange and a bit more up top.

The shop you are talking about is R/T in Lansdale Pa. IMHO it will be worth it to get a custom tune than just a crappy reflash. I have been there a few times and I drive over 2.5 hrs each way. Think of it as a fun road trip. My 07 is getting tuned there 30Apr.
