Default I want da pop....

Sounds so damn sexy on Zs (deceleration/shift). I am curious what it is, it seems some setups do it more so than others. I have the Fast Intentions resonated testpipes & exhaust and I only get a nice little burble here and there. Others seem more pronounced...

I know for the most part what causes it, but why some setups and not others. I have heard the reflash may help a bit.

someone care to enlighten me?

Buy a Srt4 they do it all the time. Any aftermarket exhaust should do it, its not the exhaust that causes it its unburnt gas

Yeah, I knew the unburnt gas caused it but why on some setups and not others is the question. I imagine I am running very lean due to my mods with no reflash/tune.

I just got FI Resonated Test pipes put in to replace my FI HFC's. The pop is almost non existent as compared to how it was with the HFC's.

I get pop a lot with my exhaust setup. I like it, it sounds like your flicking a soda can.

Borla with Test pipes and the Magnaflow x pipe is what you want. My exhaust pops so loud if I downshift while I slow down. I try not to do it often cause it gets kind of annoying.

Cats get very hot because of their restrictive nature. The Test pipes get nowhere near as hot. This probly causes to unburnt gas to ignite easier.

I get a pop on the 1-2 shift if I rev out first to around 3.5k. It also happens sometimes on the 2-3 shift if I let the clutch out too quickly around that rev range. Not sure why it happens around 3.5k, but that seems to be the magic number.

Just got Greddy Ti-C true dual 70mm exhaust and Berk HFC's installed and got some good pop. It got a little better after I did the UPREV tune to it.

I built my own exhaust. It pops on decel and really crackles at 5k+rpm revs. I only have cats and resonators. BUt im installin my TT right now so its gonna be much louder and popping without the cats.
