Default Cobb tune Or UpRev on 08 HR

Hey guys I have an 08 HR Im staying NA and i only have injen CAI and Greddy Ti-C Dual... Soon some Headers and HFC's and Maybe some Nos... i have read on and on about both but i still cant seem to Pick with one... UpRev is local to me and Cobb pug and play system is also local to get... i would like to get the most power out of it safely as most of us here would.

what Im asking really is for feed back some HR Z owners who have one of these systems. Pro's Con's... know issue's, problems Etc.

Thanks in advance for any advice given

I've been shopping and doing research on both. I'd go with the one you can get a real dyno tune on. For the most part all re-flash and tunes will give you the safest and best results if done by a proper tuner. If uprev is local get the osiris. I'll probably end up with Osiris because my local shop can tune an UpRev system but Coob has yet to release tuning software for their vendors.... If by chance you can get a dyno tune on a Cobb unit they get whatever's cheaper =D

IMO, if UpRev is near you then go for it...especially if you plan on staying N/A, you'll be getting the most out of your mod's.

I personally chose the UpRev Osiris Pro-tune because I'm not planning on going F/I for a while, so no major engine work for a few years...might as well get the most out of your car no? Main thing is that your car is getting a good tune. Most, if not all the reviews of HR owners who chose Osiris received good gains with just bolt-on's. I never looked back after getting my tune....best money spent so far!

I haven't seen any before/after dyno's with the AP on an HR. I went with UpRev and don't regret it. 7600 redline, consistent 13 a/f, fuel trim done on the street. I did however only get 5whp and 4trq throughout the entire band with an expensive protune. No huge midrange gains and this was with many many adjustments on the dyno. I have berk hfc, turboxs exhaust, dropins and jwt fly and made 285whp on a DJ.

Those numbers appear to be corrected.....seeing as how it is a dynodynamics. Generally an HR makes about 245-250whp stock on that dyno. 45whp seems like an extreme stretch and the fact that you made nearly 35whp without the tune seems even more unlikely. 297 would be close to 325 on a (typical) dynojet. If those are uncorrected, than is the strongest HR I have ever seen.

^The ones who have Cobb usually end up posting a for sale thread for it.

that would be a question for sharif@forged - he also was quite impressed with the tune and as far as i know his dyno is also know as the heartbreaker dyno... sooo... it is fast !

I mean I guess its possible, but just seems high when a 370 only made 258 on a dyno dynamics, but more power to you if you are making those numbers. Those numbers would be exceptional even on a dynojet (which usually reads 8-10% higher). I am sure it is fast.

Im debating on what tune to go with Also.I Dynoed mine in the beginning of May I've only had my 07 for 48 days now(haha)..and took my JIC Y pipe back exhaust off my 03 Z and put it on my 07.Its the only Mod I have on the vehicle,I just orderd the HKS drop in filters then next is a tune.in 98 Degree weather my car did 258whp So for a stock HR Im guessing thats fairly good.

I was thinking of going with the Technosquare myself...but the Cobb seems so much more conveniant.

I am not really sure how dynomite's read in relation to other dyno's, but my personal belief on the matter is osiris>technosquare>cobb. Technosquare is a fine product but needs to be mailed in unless you are local. Also needs to be tweaked again via mail if you add parts.

P.S I got my undergrad at WVU. Nice to see another person from the almost heaven state on here.

Oh OK. I was just thinking if that thing got losoe I would be seeing a story on the news titled "Car goes loose on dyno at 140mph and kills 4 before going through concrete wall" Enough of my hijacking the thread. Carry on.
