07-08 HR 350z V.S 06- 08 Mustang GT's?
It's really lame when someone jumps on and makes jokes about bench racing or becomes a street racing vigilante or simply says who cares.
Just because you discuss a race that was done on the streets doesn't mean you promote it, it's like saying talking about beer promotes binge drinking. As for bench racing it promotes people who know very little about cars to factor in so many conditions and aspects of cars and actually use their heads and think and learn more about cars.
If the thread doesn't interest you, don't open it, it's that simple!! The big ***** contest by some members on this site about who can make the funniest response to a new memeber really isn't funny anymore, to me anyway.

I take stock GT's. Intake does a little, nothing to worry about there. When they have a 93 tune, it makes a ton of power. They have an 87 tune factory, and can gain a lot from running more timing.
I still would take a race (not for $50), against a modded one, but chances are I wouldn't win.

Well the kid wants to do it from a 10mph roll because he has no more tread on his stock tires
So most likey this weekend ill take him up on his offer. His advantage was from the line becasue of the Tourque difference but now it's just the HR all the way. I can't wait
What RPM do all of you shift at?

Very wise. THe Mustang driver here is a regular at Cecil County Dragway, MD. This all-motor Mustang runs better than 13.0 seconds. Few if any 350Zs could win heads up.
EDIT: Of course our champion bench racers could easily take this Mustang.

I have ~160 passes at the drag strip on this car, ~200 on my old E36, many many mustangs were at Gainesville week in week out. I joined a couple mustang forums to see what could run what, and enjoyed the guys who had stock tunes, intake and exhaust, because they usually couldn't drive either. I became good friends with the regulars, who had intake, tune, and could drive.

I'm stuck near a much worse drag strip, as a result I've taken up autox for the time being. Until I can move closer to this drag strip it isn't worth the 70-75 minute drive on ET Street radials, and I don't even bother on street tires.
I need to get back to gainesville with DR's.
I have raced alot of new mustang gt's on and off the track and usually get a full car on all of them. None of them were crazy modded. I/E on most. It is a very close race car for car.
Who says I dont go to a track? I haven't been to one with my Z yet. And we have a 1/4 marked out in my town so why go through the hassle when I wanna make a quick $50?
And I am not even gonna sweat that "grownup" statement you made Davidv..

I'll get back to you with the results.

I agree, it's pretty sad to watch these dorks (and moderators) compete for the funniest (lamest) comment. For all their complaining about duplicate posts, I bet they check the boards every minute to see if any new members have signed up and salivate for the chance to ruin their first thread. You'd think that if someone doesn't like bench racing, then they would STAY THE F*CK OUT OF THE BENCH RACING THREAD.
