07-08 HR 350z V.S 06- 08 Mustang GT's?

3 passes, then it was too late.
I'm going for much better times and broken axles this time

Hope the recovery is smooth, tonsils are at least fairly minor.
My friend has an 06 GT with clutch, flywheel, underdrive pulley set, catback, test pipes, y pipe, intake, and a tune making 325whp.
I have a full bolt on and tuned HR Z with a clutch and lightweight flywheel making a bit over 310whp.
20 roll / 1st gear - he pulls a car when i lose traction, as soon as i hook 2nd he stops pulling, i shift 3rd i pull back, when i shift 4th i pull hard. By 140 im in front by 2-3 cars.
50 roll / 2nd gear - we stay even through 2nd gear and i pull when he shifts 3rd and keep pulling slowly. About 3 cars by 140.
These races were before my 4.08 Gears and off my nitrous

Who says I dont go to a track? I haven't been to one with my Z yet. And we have a 1/4 marked out in my town so why go through the hassle when I wanna make a quick $50?
And I am not even gonna sweat that "grownup" statement you made Davidv..

I'll get back to you with the results.

Hey, just wanted to add that alot of factors come into play when it comes to racing... Driver, tire pressure, car weight, rim size, etc.
If your willing to race for 50 bucks, you should find out EVERYTHING he has in his car. He could have a FD upgrade and the car can look completely stock. FD upgrades on mustangs really make the car alive.
Be careful if you race the stakes!

Thats a pretty impressive set-up. Most likely you will want to post your time here: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233840

have you drag raced your car? what did you run? what trap speed?

^not trying to hate or anything, your 3rd place run in the screen shot above shows only a 2.0x 60 ft time, that not really hooking like crazy...
with drag radials (such as the 555r's) you should be pulling 1.8's or better. and thats a significant difference, i had a race against a mustang ('67 i think) at the track this passed weekend that pulled a 1.8 to my 2.0x, that was an instant 2-3 car lengths...

if you look at the link below, the number one spot is a 107 trap, veetec (#2 spot) has had 107 traps stock also (but not with quickest et). at 310 whp you should be trapping at 110+
https://my350z.com/forum/3035974-post7.html
and fyi, dynojets don't have "calibrations", they just have no correction, sae correction, and std correction, so if you were on a dyno that was calibrated, you could have been on a mustang dyno (which numbers are easy to inflate), or possibly something else
i'm not hating on you, just letting you know whats going on...
at 310 whp (true dynojet), you should be trapping better than 107

Dyno numbers aren't anything anyways, it's all up to the driver. I didn't post the time slip because it's not good enough to be posted imo.
I'm sure i can make 110+ traps, but its just the 60 ft's that are killing me. With a 2.0 60ft im 100% positive i can trap a 110+.
Talk isnt much, but like i said before, next time i go to the track i'll post a time slip if its worthy. Just waiting on some nice grippy tires for the back
from my own personal experience, pulling a 2.00 vs a 2.185 won't result in a 3 mile gain. in fact, the trap speed might actually fall a little bit, but the et will be better...
btw, i'd suggest keeping the stock tires till you are able to consistantly pull 2.0 60ft's before moving to better tires. that way when you do get better tires, you'll be able to actually use them to their full potential rather than leaving grip on the table... my 2 cents...

From my experience, the shorter the 60 ft', the better the time & trap.
I was running consistent 13.6's @ 105-106 with 2.3 60 ft's and when I got the 2.185 60 ft, it improved my time and trap to 13.3 @ 107.

Sorry, you're absolutely right. What i meant to say was corrected, not calibrated.
