Exclamation AEM, Fujita, or Injen Intake

I have a 08 350z and I want to get a new intake. So which is better AEM, Fujita, or Injen. And why? THX

Ive been looking for that answer too and after hours of searching it appears the injen is the "best" and some say its the only that makes any power since the filters are down in the bumper in front of the radiator

but I dont have $500 to blow on some pipe and two filters .. so I dont know yet

I have the Fujitas and I really, really like them. They sound great! I have not noticed any loss of power, it honestly feels a little bit stronger in the mid range to upper rpms. The only downside is that they tend to get hot wen the car is sitting in traffic, but once ur cruising, i know they are much much cooler because I have stopped the car right after doing 70 mph ( at a rest stop) and the tubes were almost "room temp" to me. Plus, the price cant be beat.

Among those three, AEM is only one with CARB sticker. Well, if you care to know...

A buddy of mine and I dynoed at same place within minutes. Both 07s both had around 12k miles. He had fujita/me stillen.I had a solid 10hp on him across the range.Either I had a freak motor or fujita suck(hot air). The tubes were very hot.Stillen nice and cool.Dyno rep said the fujita car was likely pulling timing cuz IAT were much higher.

BTW I have datalogged IAT on my car (with LM1) and even the stillens that are fully enclose/shielded get a bit of heatsoak. It was within 5 degrees of stock though. After idling for 2+ minutes (60-80) over ambient)it would take 4 minutes going 70ish to get the temps back down to with 10-15 degrees of ambient. keep in mind I am in Texas were its been 100+ for many many days.

When you say you had 10 more horses over him, what was he pushing out to the wheels? I mean ive had my fujitas on for over 3k miles, and I think theyre rlly good. Im in virginia, so we do have hot summer days, but at night its generally cool (been in low 70's the past week) and yeah it does seem quicker when its cooler, but thats the norm in almost all performance cars with better breathing intakes. I personally, IMO, feel that I gained SOME power, but not what fujita claims. I dont think I lost any power, cause my car feels the same, if not slightly faster than before. Sure the tubes get hot, but i dont think anything can stop the forces of nature, especially if your in an area where ur above or below sea level, and have days of intense humidity, etc. All in all, they werent too expensive, compared to the Injens, or stillens. Installation wasnt difficult, and the sound is just awesome. Really hear the engine in all its additional glory, in my opinion. I wouldve went with the more expensive route, but I would personally save it for an exhaust system, or a tune, or down the road, a twin turbo setup (which means taking out the intakes anyways for the intercooler tubes, etc)

his peak was 255whp/226trq ---- me was 269whp/235trq.Ill have to post up the dyno graphs. Now this dyno is a bit conservative for a fact.I go there all the time. Those particular runs were in low 60s ambient temp--- so it only gets worse as ambient increases.

The datalogging I did was recent in 100+ weather.Ill save the data with stock/stillen for those interested. If anyother locals want to datalog their different brands we can do so also.BTW its an LM2 not lm1 sorry.

My point of all this is that if you replace the intake make sure its properly sheilded or get the true cold air (a la injen). Otherwise you will heatsoak very quickly. Also contrary to popular belief it doesnt take a few seconds to get IATs back to near ambient--- it takes several minutes even with the stock intake and well shielded stillens.
