So my guage cluster has been broke for about a month now and I finally had it fixed. Anyways, I noticed that my oil psi was pretty much at 0. It was time to change my oil anyways so I did hoping the psi would go back up. I even put 10w 40 in this time. It looks like it has about 5psi fully warm now when idleing. Anything above 1500rpms and the psi is fine. Does anyone know what Nissan says the lowest oil psi can be? I know on some GM engines they say down to 7 is ok at idle. I'm going to put a mechanical guage on it to see if it's just the guage.... If not hello dealership again

 

7 is just crazy. My 07 at idle is 28ish. My 92 300zxTT idle was at 25ish. There is something wrong with your Z.

 

+1.. Idle psi above 25 in my 08 z all day, all night..
Take it to the dealership if you still have warranty.

 

Well I guess this could be bad and good news. They will probably replace my oil pump first but if it hurt the bearings then that won't help at all and I'll get a new motor! That would be nice. A new motor right before my warrenty is up! Probably won't happen though....
