Each engine is different. There are alot of different factors which come into play about how much HP your engine is making.

How you broke you engine in.. How you drive your car.. All that, But Throughout my years of messing with cars ive seen alot of "ROUGE" engines that put out an odd amount of horsepower as compared to the majority of the cars population. I believe that his car is making over 300 to the rear wheels. Its deff not impossible.

I feel bad for everyone doubting this kids dyno. Just because your cars aren't making this kind of power doesn't mean that hes lying. I do agree about different dyno's giving out false readings so I do agree it depends on the dyno.

Im aiming for 300+ after my tune so we shall see.. Anyway.. GOOD NUMBERS

Dynojets usually are pretty much the same across the board.

Engine tolerances these days especially for the VQ are so tight that I have seen many stock cars on the same dyno be within 1-2 hp of each other. The Dyno is what makes the difference and not the engine. This use to be true when tolerances didn't matter or the engine was hand built like the GT-R.

I still see differences in engines even though they are mass produced and machines build them. Any good mechanic or tuning shop will tell you that EVERY engine reacts differently to each mod and that no two engines are exact. Hard to believe? Yes but it is what it is...

Burnnnn! That low Solo... The code really isnt on a list of my priorities right now. If GTM sent me steel wool thats not flammable I would put it in there ASAP but they havent and prob won't. And any Steel wool over the counter at home depot, Lowes or a hardware store WILL catch fire because its not pure Steel Wool. Im Sure if I looked hard enough for Straight STEEL wool I could get it but Im not worried about it. So its not that I CAN'T fix it.. I really don't care right now.

Just playin with ya.

You put a torch to the Steel wool. Of course it's going to burn. In a exhaust it will not.

^^ Only if you get the car retuned. As they will charge you for a retune.

Yes, it was adam that tuned the car.

My car is the one that put down 277 bone stock but that wasn't at this shop.

I went for a ride in phenom's car on saturday and all I can say is that his car pulls like a b!tch! I am putting down 310whp and his felt like it def pulled harder!

Yeah Adam did it. It's a great shop, really knowledgeable guys there and they're real good at what they do.

Ohh my mistake, I couldn't remember if it was your stock pull or the 310 that was at performance. For some reason I thought it was the 310 that was on a diff dyno. Either way it was your car that convinced me to get the Uprev lol

I found this old link of Lakeside's dyno....does seem like a generous dyno.

He made 265whp on a dynapack and with the same mods baselined 304whp on this dyno.
https://my350z.com/forum/vq35hr/4304...-choose-4.html

I think people should focus on the gains not be fixated on the ultimate peak number.

With the scan I uploaded its nearly impossible to see the RPM values on the x-axis, but I think one of the biggest factors contributing to my above average max whp is where my max tq is located and the shape of the curve in general. My max tq is only 261 which is completely believable, it's even a little bit lower than a few other HRs with similar mods/tune (A.H. for example made 264 ft-lb)

Again, I'm not sitting here fighting to prove my dyno results, I'm just offering a little insight on what I think is partially responsible for the results. There are a bunch of other factors involved that no one here, including myself, will be able accurately take into account.

What vehicle weight and altitude did the dyno operator put in, etc., is what is more important. Some dyno's are just calibrated high....
