Default Injen Dual CAI on 08

Finally got the Injen CAI installed -

Fairly easy install - instructions were pretty good and all went together without any issues. Total time 3hrs

access to the filters from the top

A quick run on and off the freeway and I would say there is a noticable difference - seemed like it got to redline very much quicker.

I'll take it in to the tuner in the next couple of weeks and have it dyno'd again and see what changes it made...

Last dyno
Injen exhaust K&N drop ins and Cobb AP = 280 WHP

Nice install. Don’t expect much from the intakes except sound, had mine dynoed stock then with intakes and lost 3hp which is negligible. But they do look cool and work really well with nitrous nozzles.

I didn't notice a thing when I got my injen intakes. There's an independent dyno floating around here that showed that the only power gain is around 6500 and above. But if you feel a huge difference, cool.

Using my butt dyno, it felt like it added power on the top end. I get it tuned this weekend, so I'll know what kind of real hp/tq I'm putting down.

It is noticeably louder to me in the high rpms.

Agreed, when I did this, my butt dyno registered small loss on the bottom end with some gains from mid top rl. Real dyno backed up my butt results nicely. One of these days I'll get to posting the Dynojet and Mustang Dyno numbers.

then you must not have the injen set up. Injen is the only inake so far that actually makes power, like 10 on the top end IIRC.

Someone owes me some horsepower! I'm just saying they look cool and sound different than stock. Power gainer not on my car.

P.S. Their is a zex nitrous kit installed in that picture.

Are you saying that based on your personal dyno results or you just haven't felt any difference? The intakes alone should gain at least some hp up top, but not enough to really feel. That was the case with mine, anyway.

btw is that picture your car or one that you found?

lol. Dyno results. Mine was done on the same Dyno both times. I will overlay the graphs and post it up, every car is different. My sole purpose of the intakes was for nitrous and I like the way they look. The build quality is great and install seemed smooth enough. With tuning I’m sure there is power to be had.

Its my car, if you look closely you can see wire loom going to the nozzle.

OP sorry for saying anything, you will love the intakes. When you pop your hood people will say damn that's cool. I didn't know 350z had dual intakes.

You have an HR Z, and you didn't know they had dual intakes?

Did you lose 3 peak HP, or 3 HP in the low or mid range? I dont beileve you lost any peak HP, since like I said before, these intakes have been dynoed many times and there was a gain in HP.
