Stillen Headers HR
Hey guys i've decided to purchase Stillen headers for my HR. Read a couple threads on it and everyone seemed pretty happy about them. Sound? Daily driving? Whp? Dyno charts? Videos? Pics? Anything would help.. If I can get all feedback from HR owners that would be greatly appreciated!
Current mods: Injen SES dual CAI's, Injen catback exhaust, turbo xs test pipes.
Ordering tommorrow: Stillen headers
I plan to purchase an Uprev tuning unit sometime next year, this should be my last mod for the year. Any advice or tips would be great!
Thanks,
Mo

Skip the headers and go straight for the reflash. IMO headers on the HR arent worth the $ or the trouble of installation for the minimal gains they create. The HR already has equal length headers from the factory to begin with.
butt dyno FTL.

I'm glad you have first hand experience with these headers to make such a bold statement.

If you knew anything about the DE or the HR engines, you'd know that headers are a complete waste of money. Like I said, the HR already has equal length headers from the factory, theres not much to be improved upon, other than looks.

I have removed my headers!! I can also post up pics to show you that they are not equal length! The Stillen headers are Equal length! Don't speak up unless you have your facts straight! You have no experience with Removing HR headers/installing headers or aftermarket headers in general so STFU!

Yes I can tell you that they are equal length. They also have a tendency of rubbing against the steering knuckle. Anyhow we have been through this conversation before with ah so do a search and your questions will be answered.

I have done some research and noticed stillen headers produce decent power on the stillen's site they claimed and showed dyno results 14 whp and other z members 10-15whp depending on what other supporting mods you have. This is my last bolt on mod that I have left to do, besides the stillen pulley.
^-Does it rub while driving? or did you mean during installation?
Does the throttle feel more responsive/lighter?

even if they were eq. length, there is more to headers than that. every before and after dyno i've seen of headers on the HR, there were good gain's realised throughout the powerband (for a bolt on and an NA engine)

Honestly for the cost of the headers I don't think you can go wrong! Install is not that difficult. Several of my friends are Mechanics so I sneak in after hours at which ever dealer they work at.
The throttle response with my car is incredible.
Get the headers! You won't be disappointed. If your looking for a Stillen pulley I have the Underdrive crank pulley NIB with the belt needed. I can sell you! Weighs in at just shy of 1 lb.
