Default HR dress up any one?

I have seen my share of nice clean engine bays dressed up 03-06, but there seems to be a shortage of HR bling for us. Here is my attempt to bring some shine to my HR. Very low cost ($40) since I already had the intakes. The top piece was made by my brother at his shop, I just added the nissan emblem. I am waiting for a strut bar and I might add a few more pieces over the winter. I must warn you, you will have bloody finger tips after braiding those hoses.LOL

I'm working on doing up my engine bay now. Installing Injen CAI's this week with Samco hoses. Also NRG Carbon Fiber hood supports. Over the winter I may do some powder coating. Not sure yet.

I will be saving up for ARC Combination catch can & radiator cap. I'll also paint my engine/intake cover. Still waiting for Z1 to produce their cooling panel.

I'll post back with some pics next week.

Thanks!!! I simply used High Temp paint. It was actually flat red header paint that I picked up in Autozone for around 10 bucks. One can was sufficient. Then I bought a small bottle of aerosol clearcoat near where they have the touch up paints, and lightly misted over the painted engine cover, so that it still had that stock look to it, still feeling the "grainy" texture the silver paint already has. 6 months later, it still looks new!

I have to say the cover looks interesting. I bet if it had a name brand many of us would be all over it though. I have to hand it to you for being creative and taking matters into your own hands.

I thought ARC discontinued the Combination Catch Can a while back. I want one too...

Here is what I did with mine since not much for our Zs. I circle the 2 biggest eye sores. I saw a G that painted his black and they matched my engine cover so I might go that rout in the next month or 2.

Here is an overall view...

Very nice, I am working on detailing my HR engine covers - not sure if I want to go with the grey battery/fluid cover - then blue where you have red - I have a San Marino Blue with Grey accents -so I figured it would match well- I have some Ztoyz caps coming in sliverstone - I'll post it up when I finish. What did you use to prep the plastic? I am worried about the paint pealing off the plastic if it's not "plastic" treated / primered first.

Given what you did, I think this might fit on your engine

I am also curious, how did you do the braided hoses? I've been thinking about doing it to mine. They look good.

I haven't done a whole lot but I think the NISMO intakes, ARC Oil Cap and Gallery dress up parts are a good start! I am also going to purchase the ARC combo tank, but damn is that thing expensive! Gotta save up!

What Combo tank is that? I have never seen it before. Maybe a cheap alternative to the ARC?
