Default My HR Dyno Numbers...

Dyno'd my car at Jotech yesterday. It's a bone stock '08 350z 6spd.

254.x rwhp / 222.x ft-lbs on their dynojet.

That seems a on the low side just judging from the numbers I've seen around the net. What do you think?

Not too low, maybe just slightly. My 07Z put down 254/237 stock on a Dynojet. Put down almost the exact same thing a few months later on a different Dynojet.

FWIW, I think the guys who are getting high 270's or 280 stock are on ego-booster dyno's. With 306 at the flywheel, 280 at the wheels is only 8% drivetrain loss. Somehow I doubt it. Just my opinion.

its only a low number if other stock HR's dyno consistently higher there

otherwise, just take it for what it is

Dyno wise though, I was surprised how low the torque was more than anything. We looked at lots of DE dyno's they had in their database, and they all made 10-15ft-lbs more than mine, although I had 10-15whp on them at the top end. Is that pretty typical?

I'll try to scan in the graph soon...

From what i understand that is typical, the hr motors picked up HP but lost some Tq in the process. Correct me if im wrong. When i went to a dyno day i put down 260whp/255tq with my 03 bolt on Z while a stock 08 had the same hp but lower tq

For some strange reason when I got mine done at AAM they only gave me whp and no trq numbers? But my stock '08 base Z put down 261whp on a dynojet.

Before I get any mods done I'll have them redo it and get whp/trq.

I'd say AAM's is a consistent dyno, when I went on a dyno at a meet with my old 350z the dyno at the meet showed only about a 1-2hp difference from the AAM one so I don't think they're screwing around with the numbers.

But like they said above, it all depends on what type of dyno, and how they input the numbers for the calculations.

Here is the dyno...

1st pull was in 4th gear. The last two were in 3rd gear, which is why they are a bit lower. (more teeth = more drivetrain loss)

Why not in 5th? That is 1:1 in our cars.

Good question. There could be another 5 hp / 5 ft-lbs less drag going from 4th to 5th. That would put it a little closer to where I thought it would be.

well when I got mine dynoed at AAM before reflash I was at 274 or so I believe. one thing about doing a 5th gear pull without reflash is it's right at the 160 speed limit in the HR.

4th is 1:1 in the AT. 5th is 1:1 in the 6spd.

I dynoed my car today on a dynojet as well. I made 275 whp and 230 wtq with exhaust and intake. I'll post up a dyno sheet later.

They did the first run on 4th, but the car hit the speed limiter, so thats why I dynoed in 3rd for the last two runs. The 3rd gear dyno didnt make as much mid range hp/tq but seemed to make the same peak hp/tq as the 4th gear pull they started with.

I'll be going back there again after I install headers and test pipes and tune with uprev. Then we'll see what kind of gains I can get.

Another reason is because you used SAE correction factor (which is actually the proper CF), and if you search, everybody that posts on here uses Standard correction factor which is always higher. Just changing the CF would probably give you 7-10whp on your graph.
