Default Kinetix HFC are ceramic !

Hi to all...
I'm looking for some good HFC for my new 350z (HR model) and ask for infos at some producers.
Kinetix has written this mail to me:

Hello
On the newer 350Z's and 370Z's we have to use ceramic cats, because metallic cats will throw a check engine light and cause drive-ability issues. The new 350Z's and 370Z's have a very sensitive 02 sensor (wide-band 02) which is non-compatible with metallic cats. Metallic does flow better then ceramic if each cat is the same cell count, so instead we went with a slightly lower cell count to even out the flow numbers. Our ceramic cats will flow the same as any competitors metallic cats but will not throw a check engine light!

Ultimate Racing for example are metallic for sure...
Do you think is better to go with ceramic avoiding CEL (if Kinetix's words are right) or there is no power gain and is simply very similar to original one cat ?
I think that similar flow=similar CEL ! For avoiding cel the difference may be is the quality of "nobles" metals, i remember that ceramic/metallic are NOT the one making cat process but metals put inside it !
I'm wrong???

Thank you !!!

I have stillen HFC (metallic) on my '07 HR. they threw a code for a while, which I had to keep erasing. then i installed the non-foulers (aka spacers) on the O2 sensors and i've had no issues/codes since.

Sorry, kinda off topic, but what are the sizes of stillen/crawford/berk hfc? The post above stated that AAM is 2.5 already. Also, im assuming the bigger the better for air flow?

Interesting that Kinetix would mention 02 sensor (wide-band 02). Is that not BEFORE the catalytic converter?

Correct. Pre-cat are wideband.
However, it uses that info from the bank 1 o2 sensors and compares them to the secondary. Kinetix could be correct in that the tolerance is now narrower, but I don't know of this being true offhand.
