PIC Request. VQHR Cam trigger wheels
I am in need out pictures. Pictures of the Cam Sensor Trigger Wheels on both IN/EX cams for the VQ35HR. I am working on a project and I would like to verify these cuts/marks. I am hoping that somone has HR cams handy. Thank You.
GT20IR... Thank you that is perfect. Attached are pictures of my new cams and my stock 03 VQ35DE. I started this thread just to confirm what I have and to log what all the encoder wheels look like. So in the attachments are my new cams (on the left in bags) and my old stock cams (on the right and darker). I bought this cams second hand, I was told they were JWT VQ35HR C8R cams. I am by no means blaming the perrson that I bought this from. I am just trying to figure this out. I spoke to JWT and they were not much help. I also spoke to a few others and the were very helpful but we could not come up with any answers. So, this is why I am here.
Archangle72... I am having road bumps but everything is moving along. This project will take some time to complete. I will have a few small threads before my main build thread.
Just so everyone knows. I am looking at measuring the new JWT cams to make sure I what I bought what I want. If so then I will weld up the current encoders and machine new ones.

Last time I talked to Clark Steppler, he only had one profile for the HR motor and it was a C1 profile. Has been a few months though. If i remember right, the HR motor has the ability to have a cam profile with higher lift, and much more duration than the C8 or C9R cams...
What project are you working on? just curious.. I have a custom HR project i'm slowly working on... dont see many of them out there though.

Well I was told that they were custom ground JWT C8 cams for a VQ35HR. The HR part doesnt seem to be true. I will find out if the C8 part is ture or not. My project is a N/A VQ35DE non-revup.
