catch can
Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone had install tips and/or pictures of a catch can for the hr I've been wanting to install one due to the high amount of blow by these motors have but I'm not sure where I gotta hook up the hoses. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Your car and you can do what you want, but it is no where near a necessity for a N/A application. If you're blown then sure, but the negligible blow by we have is nothing. Nevertheless, when I typed in catch can in the search box I got a lot of results...

Actually I've heard quite the contrary for the HR. I've heard and observed first hand that there is a significant amount of blow by especially under hard use. And I too typed in catch can in the search bar and got many results but found nothing pertaining to the HR

I have a GReddy catch can but not yet installed since I need more hoses than supplied. You'll want to install it between the vacuum hose on the passenger side valve cover that goes all the way to the back of the plenum.
The HR has a lot of blow by gases BTW. Take a look inside your throttle bodies, plenums and manifolds.

How can it have a lot of blow by when there's hardly any oil consumption? Mine has no noticeable change on the dipstick between oil changes.
Are you other guys with HRs seeing something different?

Agreed. When I keep my car below 3grand which is usually during daily use, I don't burn much if any oil. But, if I run it hard, I deff burn oil. I checked my dipstick after making about 6 passes at the strip and I had lost oil.

This isn't some made up bs. Its proven fact, check out other catch can threads with pics and you'll c that oil accumulates in the catch can. Sure it may only be an ounce or so over the course of an oil change but I'd rather have it in the catch can than in my intakes or wherever it gets to. Guess I'm just **** like that.
