As mentioned above GTM parts are first class but the customer service is lacking. I waited 13 months for my car the first time and had it back for 2 months and it is at GTM again being fixed. Sam is taking care of everything which is great but my car is 3 years old and it has been at GTM longer then it has been in my drive way. Only 6k miles on the car LOL.
this ^ i went with the cosworth headgasgets for mine, motors being assembled this week actually

Damn, finally got everything and it's all coming together. Everything's been balanced and blueprinted- engine's pretty much done assembly-wise except for the heads ( which should be done tonight ). Going up to the shop tomorrow to take some proper pics. Crappy cell phone pic below...

Just got back from the shop and things are looking real good. Engine is completely assembled and blue-printed. Turbos are going on tonight and the engine should be going in tomorrow. I had some left-over header wrap from doing the header on my bike a few weeks ago and decided to wrap the waste-gate dump tubes since it's kind of tight in there.

Kind of hard to see in this photo, but the port work he did on the lower intake manifold and the heads is amazing.

Heat shields for the turbo manifolds included in the kit are a nice touch.

Heavy duty CSC next to OEM "peice of crap" CSC.

Intercooler piping is crazy on this set-up.

first: on the header wrap, how exactly do you get those metal "zip ties" tight on there? i can't ever seem to actually get them that tight on header wrap. what is the secret?

second: holy crap intake manifold! Did he square out the lower plenum to match that? what gasket is he using that would fit that?

I have ported heads and have been meaning to port my lower manifold but i haven't found time yet. This looks like it would be a great addition to the porting i already have on my heads. Thanks for the pictures!

edit, i see the HR has square ports from the factory.

It's called safety wire, and you use a tool called a safety wire plier to twist them tight. Looks cumbersome the first few times, but you get pretty quick at it after some practice.

Here's a vid I found explaining it on youtube:

Once I get it hand tight, I grab close to the "latch" with a set of needle-nose pliers and turn it. This pulls it up tight then just cut off the the excess.

I safety wire everything on my race bikes but the wire tends to cut through the header wrap so i don't use it for header wrap.

Ya, i've tried that but it never seems to be tight. I use stainless worm gear clamps to get the best fit. I was just hoping you had a secret so i could use the rest of these metal ties i have.

I have probably done 50 miles (no BS) of safety wire on Aircraft. I have never used the pliers, always by hand, haha

ya, i used the pliers when i started but i do it by hand now. I was sent to an air force base (181st fighter wing) as an Army MP for a year. I would want to kill myself with all the safety wire they do in just a single day.

Not much since the other day, waiting on plugs, diff and trans fluid before we can start her up. Wrapped the down-pipes today and fitted the turbo blankets ( not wired up in the pics, but they fit good ). Also took a pic of the seats in the car. First time I've actually seen it off the lift. Back tires are going to be close for clearance ( first time I've seen 'em off the lift ). May have to run a little more camber...
