Default Finally...my build thread

Tried selling the car a couple months ago ( as some of you know! ) with no bites, so decided to go the FI route. Dropped the car off a couple days ago and did about a dozen more dyno runs on it trying to squeeze more power out of it with no luck. Engine is out of the car as of today and parts are on order. GTM 3.8 liter stroker kit
GTM stage-V fuel system
GTM stage-I valve train upgrade
GTM performance MAF's
GTM Osiris tuner
GTM main bearings
GTM rod bearings
GTM thrust bearings
HKS EVC-VI boost controller
Bosch 900cc injectors
OS Giken twin plate clutch and flywheel
HD CSC upgrade
ARP main studs

Sending the block to GTM to have the following done:

Block bore and hone
Block cleaning
Balanced rotating assembly
Polish crank shaft

Not power-wise but also changing out the Nardi steering wheel with a KEY!S Racing buckskin 225mm and KEY!S Racing buckskin shift ****. Here's a list of what's currently on the car:

I'll be putting up a FS thread tomorrow for the intakes, clutch/flywheel ( less than 1k miles ) headers and TP's and Cobb AP if anyone's interested. Will try to update the thread as best I can with pics but will be out of town for most of the build. My builder should be updating me with pics often though.

We've got another pumpkin layin' around with the OEM FD ready to go, but we're going to see what it's like with the 4.08 first. If it works, I may keep it for a while. I'm not looking for top end, but I don't want it to break loose crazy either.

On that note, I need new tires! These Invo's are great on the street, but **** once they heat up on the track. Really lookin' to replace these with some Yokohama ADO8's for street use and getting some 18's ( if I can find some that fit the BBK ) with track-only tires.

I'm very happy that you kept the Z and going FI. The Z is beautiful!
Good luck with the build.

Just a couple of notes:

Go with HKS-VPRO or Haltech.

ARPL19 head studs

Also I wouldn't (and no one will) recommend a 4.08 final drive for a FI car especially with TT kit and built motor. I think the 3.3 will suit your build better.

OK, I've always wondered this when someone goes build crazy - If you have enough $$$ to put $25K+ into a 350z, why not buy a GT-R instead? For example, I have a hard enough time reasoning with adding a simple supercharger to my 350z, as I'd rather use that money as a down payment for a 370Z. Thoughts?
