Default VQ35DE/HR.. What's the most power they will hold?

So whats the most power they will hold before you are on borrowed time. I'm not looking to built the most powerful 350z ever. I'm in the market for a 350z and planning on doing a budget FI build. Not planning on building the motor, just not worth the money for what i'm trying to build. Just wanting a fun street car/auto-x fun. If you know of any good read ups, please point me in the right direction.

I saw that... definitely clean.. But i'm looking for something in the teens, high teens for a FI one and low teens for a NA one.

DE - Has more over all modifications available, plus more FI options at some maybe cheaper prices.

HR- Newer engine to keep up with the times, but kind of skipped over for mods, more companies make something for the 370z then come back to the 350z HR. I personally love my HR, was a requirement when buying my first Z.

If you want to do a build, and don't have oodles of cash I'd probably do a DE.

~450 whp on a DE and about ~500 (maybe more) whp on an HR.

My buddy was just at 475 on his DE for a while, then hit over 500 trying to kill it.. never died. Now he has a built motor going in, looking for 700+ on pump. 8-)

Your best bet is to go through some of the build threads and see how other peoples setups are holding up. Thats what I do.

I think people mistake the idea behind the word "Budget", it doesn't necessarily mean cheap.....it's just a money plan. Now based on the way he used it made it sound like he was going to go cheap.

Really though if you had said you wish to come up with a budget for a F/I build with out building the motor. You may have gotten better responses.

Budget- the amount of money that is available for, required for, or assigned to a particular purpose. Taken from 'merriam-webster dictionary'

you did state you budget.. you said high teens for a FI car..
aint gonna happen.
and if it does,m..yea. you dont want it.
we're not being mean, just honest.
you can blow a stock engine.. so asking how much power will they hold is a mute point question.
400 hp is the generally ( and i do mean losely by saying this) somewhat reliable level.. but some ppl run 700 hp for years, some bolt on an intake and throw a rod..
Have 10k liquid on top of the purchase price. to go FI and expect to duplicate that expense later for a rebuild.

tons of searchable information i have just regurgitated since i have never gone FI myself, this is info i have garnered by searching the forum.
thats wy ppl are getting chapped w the thread.. thats all.

450? I dunno dude. I know several ST and TT DE guys that stay in the high 300's. I always thought once you reach 400whp you're flirting with distaster. The HR though I've heard can handle 500+ without much cause for concern.

the HR can usually handle 500whp numerous people boosting HR's on stock internals and i have seen little to no malfunctions..

The DE i have seen blow even on a 75 shot of nitrous.. i would stay away from the DE engines
