Default 2005 tranny in a 2007 350z?

i was wondering if it would be compatible for a 2005 g35 tranny rwd to swap into my 2007 350z hr? i know the lower years have lower redline and different horsepower but i heard the transmission are the same. BTW this is an auto to auto swap... im only considering this because i have a friend who offered his transmission too me for 300 bucks including vb no tc. But mainly i need the vb because i plan to do a transgo upgrade. please and thank you!!

I would suggest no, because you want a CD009 transmission from 07+ for your 07. You could use 06, but you'd need to mod it a little as the 06 vs 07-09 CD009 is slightly different.

I'm pretty sure this is an auto with referance to vb being valve body? and tc being torque converter?
no it will not work. swap bell housings and it will bolt up... after that you are on your own
