Default Will 370Z flywheel fit HR stock clutch?

I know the clutches are the same. Can I also swap a 370Z flywheel into my HR?

Are the part numbers the same for the clutch? What about the fw?

The Nissan clutch PN are the same, but Flywheel #s are different. I know aftermarket FW (South bend) are the SAME for both. So why wouldn't OEMs be interchangeable? Maybe the sensor reference is different?

Could be. If they changed just the powder coating on it then that would be a new part number. OEM are tricky like that.

In to see if someone else has done this. All else fails a simple resurface of the oem flywheel while using the new pressure plate and friction disk would work just fine. Also, the answer is yes, oem flywheels CAN be resurfaced. Manufacturers can't make money on machining since dealerships don't perform it therefore they will always say you can't resurface it.

It's not just resurfacing...(if you can find someone to do it)...there is rotational play in these dual mass units governed by internal springs. With wear, they can go out of spec. I think a flywheel with over 75K mi on it may be on the ragged edge with excessive play. The manual has specs to check, but I think simply replacing the FW with a relatively low mi unit would be the way to go.

370Z flywheel will interchange, It is heavier than the 350Z HR flywheel by a few pounds though.

I'm not arguing about the dual mass portion failing. I know those fail and it needs replaced but if that is within spec they still tell you the clutch "can't be resurfaced" which is just a trick to make more money. Taking 1 or 2 thousandths off of a thick steel surface to make the face true isn't going to harm any flywheel. If warped beyond belief or damaged dual mass unit then it does need replaced, however.

I guess this all comes down to>>
If I want a replacement oem dual mass>>>WTF do I do?
If I can spec the slop (rotational play) in the dual mass spring..then we can resurface. I found someone back East who will resurface these!
If I can't nail the slop in the rotation..then I want FW with low mi.
Good luck measuring slop.
So...Low Mi FW replacement seems the best bet overall, since I can't nail the slop and this shouldn't require resurfacing.

Why would you want to reuse a dual mass flywheel? They make the car drive like poo. Bouncy, Jerky. Once you put a single mass in and drive it you will never want a dual mass again.
