Default Need 50hp+ and a clue!

I posted something like this before and didnt get specifics. Im looking to get more hp, at least 50 or so. Can someone list specifics on what to buy so I can go on websites and start purchasing. Do I need a SC and how much am I looking at? Something like:

1) Greddy chip
2) Tuned by good shop. (Side note: Not even sure what they do when they tune, I thought these engines were tuned alrdy, hence the hp.)
3) Greddy exhaust

These are examples and this way I can go buy now, woot!

I live in South Central/South East PA and also have no clue of a good shop to do the work. Anyone know a good shop near here?

Thanks in advance, and yes Im a nub with NISMO upgrades even after browsing forums, but I can drive it well now, since its been 1 yr or so since purchase.

Thanks again

I recommend you head out to a local meet to get your cherry popped first.

I race a WRX, camaro/charger/old man in a new old model car or some slow Honda everytime I get behind the wheel it seems. Your "non upgrade list" is a fail. jk dont flame

I'd check into some NOS - the big ones for sure. Going direct port should net you around 100hp at the drop of the throttle! It's not a bad way to spend $1,000 if you ask me. Make sure you get it tuned though, definitely by a reputable shop that specializes in our cars. Without a good tune, the direct port kits on these VQ engines will blow the welds on the intake, presenting a HUGE danger to the manifold. The last thing you want is to be neck and neck with some guy in an FD RX7 and have that thing blowing sparks all over. Good luck, and enjoy the power!

Default Tune Shop

You should get intakes, test pipes and a full cat back and then go to RT Tuning in lansdale, pa. They are a great shop and will be able to tune your car any way you want.

bowroffle

All bolt ons on a healthy DE revup motor got me about 270/273

All bolt ons plus a fully built stroker got me 331/347. That is about $184/hp

Leave it alone or expect 30 or so hp on bolt ons.

Don't listen to these guys. They are just busting your *****.

All you need is this, and you will get your 50hp and some. No need to spend thousands of dollars.

True, but you really need to order one of those chips of ebay to feel the full turbonator effects!

Agreed, but that will not gain any where close to 50 whp. Nitrous or FI is it to gain that much hp.

I had some good gains off those alone, ART test pipes, invidia cat back exhaust, and injen cold air intake. Not much else really you can do unless you go FI

Spent alot of money on all bolt-ons plus cams and final drive changes before realizing that wasn't enough. Save some money and get some boost...
