Sounds good, although I did a bit of research myself and it seems like quite a few Supra/Evo/E46 M3 owners have hit well north of 700whp on the 6266 (even with just a 3" downpipe)...so I'm a bit unsure now. Although going with the 6766 (or 6466 if that's an option) might be a safer route to achieve my goals, especially since I prefer to have as flat of a TQ curve as possible, with minimal fall off torward redline.

I just have a couple of other questions if you have time to answer: Is the air filter you provide with the kit about as large as you can stuff in there? And do you think it is much of a restriction at high HP levels? And would a 3.5" downpipe be a possible option, or at least a transistion to 3.5" piping a couple inches after the exhaust outlet on the turbo (if clearance is an issue)?

Thanks again.

I would not be comparing Supra/Evo/E46 M3 to the VQ, especially to a 3.7L HR built VQ. That is a whole different ball game than those engines you mentioned. The 6766 is the right turbo for the job, trust me.

At the moment it is the largest filter I am able to find that will fit in that location. It has not shown any signs of being a restriction with any of my VQ37VHR customers. It is also possible to do a 3.5" down pipe, but it is something that would have to be done on the car, since it would be a tight fit.

So, to sum it up, not much interest in the twin scroll single turbo kit at all.

Yeah I'm surprised people haven't jumped all over this kit. I am still interested in the twin scroll for my 350z. Hopefully by next summer if all goes well.

I defiantly have interest, your builds have had nothing but good words said about them.
Its just the money that's got me like I'm sure once people do more research on your kits or just see this post they will come don't worry.

have you ever thought of making a top mount single turbo kit, just like the guys at S&R Performance did for the HR motor?

No, and I don't want to. There isn't enough room in the engine bay for a properly sized (T4) turbine housing with the top mount. The V-band turbine housings they use are too small for these engines, and efficiency is lost with higher boost levels. I have done exhaust back pressure testing, so this is a fact...not theory.

With the VQ37VHR, I use a large 1.15 a/r twin scroll turbine on a 67mm turbo. There is only one larger turbine than this that Precision offers for this turbo.

Absolutely not. The only thing that is removed are that cats and test pipes, crash bar (due to very large FMIC) and a couple of plastic pieces behind the bumper. Everything else stays, nothing to drill/tapp/alter/change...ect. The car can easily be put back to stock, and one would never know that a the car was boosted at any point.

The kit is the very defention of "bolt on".

Yeah makes sense, plus I figured there would be too much heat being produced under the hood with their type of setup. I love the dedication you put into this kit and all the research and development you put into it, definitely interested in one of your kits when the funds are right. If i was closer to your area I would easily drop my car off so you can do the research needed to make this kit 100% perfect for the vq35hr motor in the 350z body

What kind of turn around should we expect? If you are having an HR come next April, is April or May about how long we need to wait? Do you have an email distro for this? I've been waiting 2+ years for such an awesome bolt on kit. I don't want to miss out!

If I can confirm fitment on the HR, I should have a few (say 4) kits ready to go at that time, assuming the VHR kits are direct blot on.

I will make a thread on the HR turbo build, I am sure you will see it.
