I have 30K on my SB kit and the clutch fluid is still golden, I check it every 2 weeks.

@Bigblue,

Surprised we got the same clutch setup! lol I'm sitting around 720 miles city, easy miles with light throttle work and no WOT till I hit 700 miles. I actually opened it up today since SouthBend said I could test it at this mileage. All I gotta say is what a big difference it made. Your video you posted awhile back is also what made me get the kit. Btw, how many miles did you do before you went WOT? How is your setup holding up now?

That's great that you have that kit, I'm sure that you will be impressed with it; hopefully they work out well for both of us! It sounds like you are doing a good break in and following SB's recommendations. I did a few little romps after the 500 mile mark just to check it out, but not too long after that I did some open road WOT, like 3rd-5th, etc. I didn't try any launch until about 1K and it felt very strong; really impressed with this kit no doubt (guessing about 2,500 mi.). Good luck with yours.

Right, I like it so far. I also hope it lasts a long time considering what the clutch was built for. I was pretty cautious about breaking it in so I didn't end up glazing the disk. Anyhow, do you think the 700 miles was overkill before doing any WOT runs? I'm still taking it somewhat easy till 1000 miles.

I'd say you are doing it right and waiting for the 1K mark while doing a lot of stop, go, down shifting and getting the clutch engaged quickly should be fine you shouldn't have any problems at that point. You could do some fairly hard pulls now to get a good idea of how she feels.

Right, I actually got on it a good amount at 700 miles. Almost at 800. It feels good.

Just wanted go update that it started making a grinding noise with the clutch depressed at idle. It's in the shop as we speak. I'll find out what it was soon.
