"Good Morning Everyone at Z1,

I'm writing regarding Z1 VQ35HR Intake Plenum Power Mod 350Z

As a member from My350z.com (Ser_Z) a couple of us where wondering.

-Would you have any charts that would show the over all gains of this mod

-Some average numbers of gains before and after dyno

-Any future versions being worked on?

We are wondering because we are trying to get a group buy together, but some are still unsure about weather or not to buy due to lack of knowledge of the product.

Thumbs up Responce From Z1(350z)

"Michael,

I highly recommend cams before this mod.
We have netted anywhere from 3-7rwhp (after hours of tuning) with the mod, but see the bigger numbers from clients that have installed cams on the HR engine. We are also honing the lower manifolds for better flow.

Thanks,

Jon Parham"

Prompt response from them I give them that answered most of the questions asked yet I'm sure there're busy.

I asked him again on the group buy possibility.
I also asked when the lower manifolds would be sold or what specs.
Now we all just need aggressive cams and a Great Pair of LTH.

Thanks,

what's up Jon!

Hope all is well!! Hope all is good at the shop. Sick 300 earlier today too! Most impressive.

I must be "that guy."

Your tuner must know how to really tune to be able to dial these mods in. Or you will walk away disappointed and wondering why you spent the money for only 2-3 whp.

what all do you guys want to know?

group buy? come on.. gotta pay to play! Z1 works hard and deserve full coin for these mods. We aren't talking test pipes.

give me a shout, ill answer as best as I can.

Broad question; I'm well over 300whp, stock headers.

You may make x-amount of whp, but what is your power band doing to get you there...? It's not all about the top number.

saw gains in some areas that made 3-7, 10, 15+ whp, consistently.

I can put up a graph, but it won't be with my final numbers. Believe I have one that has a 310whp on it, just getting started on my re-tune.

give me a bit.

very nice man, your right its not all about peak.....im MUCH more concerned with UTC gains

What mods did you have and what did you put down before the Z1 plenum and tune?

If you have an overlay, that would be ideal

what is your current RWHP

thanks again to Z1 and you for this

motordyne
z1
injen

will need to reiterate that this one is on your tuner imho. you will find out if he/she can tune.
the power is there to be had. but patience will be tested. will have to dig for the power.

I think i'll get the most gain out of this mod

In fact, i SHOULD get this!!
I'm 4.1 Stroked (NA high comp built) along with Tomei pro 272/11.3 In & 272/11.0 Ext
Car sucking hard ( no pun intended ) so need better breathing!
My current Stillen G3 is just not enough i guess.

Someone said somethin about a group buy ?!!

Ser Z, Jon@z1 ... Thank you both

When installing this mod would it be advised to replace the throttle body gaskets?

I did. I would.

Why not, brand new OEM gaskets are real cheap.

peace of mind.
