Default Z1 VQ35HR Intake Plenum

http://www.z1motorsports.com/350_g35...oducts_id=7394

Anyone have any info on the gains with this mod? I thought I found a thread somewhere that had some info and thought I put the site on my favorites but I guess I didn't and can't seem to find it again for the life of me. I'm just wondering with this if you can mimic the 400hp mod they have have on there site http://www.z1motorsports.com/g37_370...oducts_id=7223 with the hr 350z and get somewhat similar results.

Being that the 35hr base hp is less than the 37hr i doubt you would see 400hp on a similar setup BUT never say never, anything is possible!!

I'll get it eventually after all other conventional bolt-ons and a tune... Wouldn't be one of the first though.

I'll most definitely get it if I go FI down the road only because it's cheap enough that there may be significant gains under boost vs an NA car

Hmm is this new? I have yet to hear about this. Price makes it tempting.

Now, we all know Z1 just give us a small clue that there are actual obtainable power in the intake manifold. I am wonder what is their secret sauce on this thing.

I know from looking over mins that the TB to manifold needs trimming/matching. Same goes for intake runner to manifold, it's so off its crazy the cars leave the factory like that ! I had an article about the increase in flow by port matching the small over laps in a intake system. Only other thing is they may have cut the thin guides out the way that suppose to channel air to each port/cylinder!

How about we do a groupbuy for one and cut it open ??? Lol

I also think the tune Z1 has on their cars are very aggressive and thorough compared to the A/F ratio tune. Because didn't they claim breaking 300 with just test pipes and the Tomei ???

Don't understand why some of you are waiting until you go FI to get this thing. They advertise it for NA and while I'm sure it may work with an FI setup, it doesn't make that much sense. What's a few more ponies gonna do when you're making 500+ anyway?

This is something I definitely would have been interested in back when I had my NA build.

interesting. I'm not an engineer but could the only gain in manifold modification result in a changement of inlet diameter of the snorkels?

Must learn more about this? Los Links? lol

I emailed Z1 to get straight to the source lol

"Good Morning Everyone at Z1,

I'm writing regarding Z1 VQ35HR Intake Plenum Power Mod 350Z

As a member from My350z.com (Ser_Z) a couple of us where wondering.

-Would you have any charts that would show the over all gains of this mod

-Some average numbers of gains before and after dyno

-Any future versions being worked on?

We are wondering because we are trying to get a group buy together, but some are still unsure about weather or not to buy due to lack of knowledge of the product.

Link of product discussion below:

Regards,

Mike"
